Since the half marathon is called "The Donald" he was there to start all of the corrals

I had already planned to go at a set pace for as long as I could.

They block the roads in both directions so that they can stage and start all of the runners. The race starts on Epcot Dr and proceeds to World Dr. As you know the road is only 2 lanes wide approaching the exit ramp to World Dr and narrow's to the one lane. Once on World Dr it opens to 3 lanes which helps to spread out the thousands of runners. The 2nd mile flag is not far onto World Dr. Also the pirate ship that is in the median strip.

I have been thru this way to many times in a vehicle and it felt pretty cool to be going thru it on foot.

Now once thru the booths we followed the road to the left and had the speedway on the left side at the 3 mile mark. I was still maintaining the pace that I wanted to. What is that pace you ask SLOW I was still feeling good.

They have character photo opportunities all thru out the course. Of course all of the faster runners made the lines long for the slower runners to stop and wait for pics.

Now the 5 mile mark is where the buses turn to drop everyone off for the MK.

Now the red numbers on the top of every mile marker is the total clock time in hours, minutes, and seconds since the first runner started the race. I was at 1 hour 12 minutes at this point.

If you were slow, so was a vast majority of people. Looks like a ton of people on the run.

So do a lot of people walk the whole race? I know I could do one of the shorter ones if I walked but no way could I run it!

If you were slow, so was a vast majority of people. Looks like a ton of people on the run.

They stated that 26,000 had registered. When results were on RunDisneys website just over 20,200 finished

Now half way to the MK entrance they diverted us thru a back stage area to enter the MK Main Street from the side gate next to Tony's. It has been a very long time since I was at a rope drop and ran down Main Street to an attraction. It was nice to jog down without a hurry to get anywhere.

They divide Main Street in half with the spectators on the Emporium side. There were quite a lot of spectators cheering on there friends and family. It was almost like any normal day in the park. There are also quite a lot people along the course at all of the major viewing points. Viewing points being all 3 resorts, TTC, Epcot's parking lot and entrance and exits.

There were of few volunteers along the course that would help with picture taking along with the Marathonfoto guys at key points . Yes that is dad on my shirt. He ran with me and later I really really needed his help.

Down to the hub and thru Tomorrowland

I did slow down just a little going thru here since I wanted to enjoy this part of the run

Down thru the castle to Liberty Square and off to Splash Mountain

Now you get to see the length of a line for those that wanted a character picture.
