We were on spring break, but yet we all woke up at 6:30am to get ready for a big day in the park. We went and had breakfast at Colonel's Cotton Mill at Port Orleans Riverside and then we caught the bus to Epcot where we were meeting some friends of ours who were in town for the day.
We got there early so we took pictures and were looking at all of the pictures on the Leave a Legacy sculptures. I wanted to get my picture done but forgot to do it before we left. We did some of the gift shops near the entrance while we were waiting for our friends.
They finally arrived so we headed toward the GM Test Track. We got fast passes and then headed over towards Universe of Energy for the Bill Nye dinosaur show. It had broken down so we headed over to Wonders of Life and did Body Wars. We played around in the Wonders of Life area and then went back to the Bill Nye thing. It was working again so we rode on it. It was cute.
Our fastpasses were almost up so we headed over to the Test Track and rode it. This was everyone's favorite part of the whole day. I wish we had a ride like that up here! Kiddo and Lise were hungry so we headed over to the countries and did some exploring.
We took some pictures at Showcase Plaza and then began our touring at Canada. We watched a little show in France and then walked all the way around to China before we could all agree on a place to eat. We had a little lunch at the Lotus Blossom Cafe and then walked back to America to watch the American Adventure. I fell asleep but Kiddo and Captain enjoyed it, although Captain didn't like how they had Roosevelt standing at a podium when we should have been in a wheelchair.
After that we were walking back towards China when we saw the character bus. Captain began to chase it down and we got pictures and autographs with many of them. Next we headed to the Outpost where we tried on many hats and played with all of the musical instruments. We headed to Norway and wanted to ride on Maelstrom but it was broken down. So we moved on to Mexico and rode on El Rio del Tempo and explored the little shops inside.
Everyone wanted to go on Test Track again so we went and got fastpasses and then headed Imagination! and did Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Then we did Journey into Your Imagination. I liked it so much better when Figment played a bigger part in it. Figment was my favorite.
We went back to Test Track and rode that again...so much fun! Then we decided to check out the ball and went on Spaceship Earth. By the time the ride was over, it was getting late and we wanted to go over to the Boardwalk and have dinner at the ESPN Club so we could watch the Maryland basketball game.
The ESPN Club was so much fun! There were a lot of Terrapin fans there and Captain was making friends with all of the old guys sitting next to us. They were all going crazy! Captain is kind of annoying to be with during games. Our food was ok but our waitress was horrible. When the game was over (and we won!) we got a ride back to our hotel. We did a little shopping at the General Store and then went back to our hotel room and crashed.
