I always buy treats at DTD for my classes when I go to WDW! When I taught high school(10 - 12), they went crazy for WDW treats, but my 8th graders will do unbelievable work in order to get a sticker or a Mickey shaped lollipop!

They love stickers the best! My DD, who is three, goes bananas over a princess sticker! There are lots of things that you can get:
Mickey chocolate coins
shaped lollipops
tiny lollipops
stickers
coloring books from only WDW where each can color a page
sets of markers(washable)
sets of character shaped crayons

I have done all of these with my students and they have loved them all!

If you have access to a car and plan to do shopping off property, I've found that lots of the discount-type department stores have a section w/ Disney-related merchandise. We bought Mickey & Minnie pencils for may daughter's class at Wal-Mart on our last trip. Don't remember the exact cost, but they were significantly less expensive AND we were at WM picking up supplies any way.

Myself I like the post card idea if teacher doesn't want to give out home addresses which I can fully understand then just address the post cards to the school with the teacher and kids names on them.

I have cheated with postcards usually buy a few extra while at disney to send the next time I go the cards are addressed and stamped and my greeting written before I leave home all I got to do is drop them in mailbox.

Address labels could be made out before leaving home and then stuck on the post cards once at disney which would save a bit of time too.

Something cheap and the kids can save it forever if they want. No food allergies involved etc.

If I were going to send postcards back to the class, I would take a large brown envelope and put all the cards in it and mail it to the teacher. What if some of the cards don't arrive on the same day or some of them get lost in the mail.

When we were at Disney in July, we sent 1 postcard back to each of our granddaughters (2 children). Well, one postcard arrived one day and the other one came 2 days later.

It could have been a big problem!

Another idea is to bring a CD back to the class to listen to: music, not story.
I know 3's are real good at sharing, but they might enjoy listening to it and could do so as much as the teacher was willing to play it. The teacher may enjoy it as well! Or a Mr. Potato head toy to leave in the classroom with all the WDW stuff to go with it from ONce Upon a Toy at DTD.

I know how my 2nd DD was upset when a friend brought back something from Disney for 2 other friends in class and gave it to them there and nothing for everyone else.

On our last trip, we mailed a coconut postcard to each of the children's classrooms and brought Mickey shaped straws for each child. They were a huge hit, inexpensive and pack easily. Have Fun!.....................Heather

If I remember correctly, in 2003, they were around .50 cents a piece. We picked ours up at the food court of the CBR. Many colors available and very durable. My kids still have theirs. Feel free to correct me if my price is off.

Well, one postcard arrived one day and the other one came 2 days later.

The cards to our family ans friends arrived over the space of 2 weeks - and those were all within 3-5 miles of each other. I posted them all on the same day at the CSR in the same mailbox.

A brown envelop to keep them together is a great idea!

We collected some napkins at the service window at CSR each time we refilled our mugs.

I bet if you leave a tip with the note Mousekeeping will oblige

We've done the postcards, but we just handed them out in class. I wrote a message on them like the character had written the letter. You could even get the characters to autograph them.

I teach 2nd grade and on my last trip I bought a small stuffed Mickey. Each day I drew a name and that student got to keep Mickey for the day. He got to sit on his/her desk and they loved it!!

If you have a digital camera and printer, you could take character pix, print them out at home, and hand those out.

Would the Resort allow a character to hold a sign that says "Hello Big River Pre-School, Love, Mickey" and then you could take a pix and print out 15 copies?

I have done the Mickey straws several times for my first graders and they loved them. It was several years ago and I paid 25 cents for each. I purchased them at the CBR food court. When I was there last Christmas I didn't see them. They maybe had them behind the counter... I never asked. I liked the straws because I could get all one color so everyone had exactly the same thing. They are VERY sturdy.

When my DD was in preschool, she brought back a potato head with Mickey parts to leave in the classroom. The children loved it. If I did this again, I would make sure to get several sets of arms so many children could play at the same time using the potato head bodies that are already in the classroom. You have to have the special arms to use all of the little pieces. She also sent the class a postcard.
Last year she was in Kindergarten and we bought the large bag of pretzels and large box of cookies at Pop's gift shop. We also took 15 napkins from the food court to put them on. The children loved the special treat being served on the WDW napkin!
This year she has 21 children in her first grade class and I like the idea of putting little presents in the small bags from the gift store. Children get a big thrill out of little things like that! I love spreading the magic!!!!
