I know we inmates haven’t always been the most co-operative what with our asking for search and little black dots while you have been thinking about that ice burg that the ship just hit. It was a pleasure to get to know you better at DIS Con.

I only have one question: Does this mean you will need a tag & a signature now?

Yes, I guess sort of what Janette said. With not being a WM, what things won't you be doing (I guess another way of saying, 'what does a WM do in addition to moderator stuff') and with not doing those things, will we, the posters, see or notice a difference? Like, if it 'breaks', will it still get fixed? All the little (and big) things I know you did here, who will do those now? Bob? Doc? Penny?

And I do hope things work out for you, Alex, my best. Also hope things do work out here for the DIS, I truly love this place, the family, and sure would miss it if it just all imploded here.

Seeing you post without "webmaster" attached to your name reminds me of when I first came to the DIS. You were a webmaster but you wouldn't use the title. Finally Pete told you that you <i>had</i> to use the title (that's what Dan Murphy told me, anyway). I had no idea you were a webmaster for about the first 3 months that I was here. I just thought you were this funny, smart, grouchy guy in chat.

Hard to believe that was over 3 years ago. You've done a lot of work around this place since then and I truly appreciate it. Especially the help with the chatroom and chathosts. Will you still be helping Ann and I with that kind of stuff? Hope so.

I'm glad you are still going to be a moderator and still be hanging around the DIS.

I wasn't sure who just "Alex" was at first. I'm glad I actually read the post. I'm very sorry to hear this Alex. But, it's your decision, so best wishes to you! Thanks for all the stuff you've done around here... I am sure I only know of a fraction of it, and even that seems like alot!

I, too, am glad you will still be around as a moderator and poster. I guess without being a webmaster, then you will only be working 20 hours a day at your full-time job and will have the other to maybe sleep? LOL
