A slightly newbie question regarding packages and who's offerings.

Hello. It's been a short while since I've posted here, but I had a question.

Last year my wife and I got married at DisneyWorld. It was just the two of us that went down there and we booked everything through the website (and phone, of course). My question is, is there a major price difference between ordering from disneyworld.com versus dreamsunlimited.com or my local AAA office?

I know if I need something, I'd go through whoever I booked through, but after doing some minor research for an anniversary trip for my wife and I (and my parents as a thank you gift), I noticed that the prices seem to be around the same from any places I check into.

Is there a secret tip or something I'm not catching on to or is it basically the same price all around and "outside sources" just base themselves out of "being there for you" more then the phoneline at WDW?

I'd rather not pay rack rate, but then again ... I'm just glad to be going, so I don't care as much as I should. It's been a long year .. April is coming and I wanna go back!

[EDIT]
Bah .. My apologies. I posted this in the wrong forum. If it needs to be moved, please do. I'll be more mindful what button I'm clicking next time. :badpc:

AAA discounts can be between 10% and 20% off rack rate (different at different resorts). There have not been any general codes offered in quite some time and the annual passholder discounts have been changed to Best Rate Program this year.

If you are looking to save a bit of money, then I would suggest you try for the AAA rate. Also, if you want to add dining, the only way to do this AND keep the AAA discount is to book it through a AAA agent. Disney cannot offer you the dining plan and give you the room discount. So you end up paying rack for the room.

Since Easter is in April in '06, you will see a lot of crowds as well, depending on what time of the month you are going. I would suggest you try a couple of different sources and make sure you are comparing the exact same thing (know if they have included insurance, dining, tickets, etc.) so you can find the best price for you.

Good luck and congrats on your recent wedding.

I noticed you were from Jersey. When is Jersey Week this year? I think it's the week I'll be there. We're there Nov. 9-13.

But, fear not! Long lines and hot weather I can't handle, but long lines and good weather I can!
