A slew of BOG dinner and lunch ADRs opened this morning

For our days the week after easter, quite a few lunch and dinner times opened for each day of our trip. These are reservations for 9!

I was able to get one for several days of our trip, and will cancel the ones I don't need on Monday once I connect with my trip mates.

The week of June 7th also has several lunch and dinner reservations available.

Still nothing opened in August. Can anyone shed any light on why they do this?

Thanks for the heads up! I cancelled a 12:35PM ADR for a 1:05PM one which works better for my family.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's happened either, but it's great! A family friend is visiting in April, and asked just the other day if I can get her a reservation. She hasn't been in some time, and doesn't quite get how difficult a table for 4 is to find! But this morning I snagged her a lunch and a dinner--now she can check out the menus and see which meal her family will prefer! How exciting!

Yup I just got lunch for April 13 and had the option for dinner that day as well! So excited. We did dinner the first week of March and loved it (5 adults 3 toddlers) but this is my solo trip.

Still nothing opened in August. Can anyone shed any light on why they do this?

My theory is that, at a certain point, if there is higher than normal demand, then they decide to open the rose gallery for dinner. This happened during Christmas two years ago; a bunch of ressies suddenly became available, and when we ate there the rose gallery was open. It could still happen for July and August.

Thank you Jetku for alerting us! I thought I would be too late but I was just now able to get an earlier dinner at the end of June.

BOG and a dessert party!!!!! And now I don't have to worry about us being too full to stuff our faces with dessert.

This makes complete sense to me for dinner, but how does it increase availability at other meals? isn't the Rose gallery already open for breakfast and lunch? I'm really curious about how so many times became available at so many times today!

You're right. I wasn't thinking about breakfast and lunch. Maybe Disney really does hold ressies back. Or maybe it's not table space but CMs. Perhaps they decided to increase staff which would increase how many people they can push through at any one time. I'm just guessing here.

this is a great point! because of its popularity I always assumed they were running at full capacity, but maybe tables aren't the limiting factor. boosting staffing would definitely open up a good deal of time, I'd bet. thanks for thinking it through--I kept getting stuck on space, and without building another room there's no way to increase capacity at the CS meals.

It was about 2:30am PST and shuffled several of mine around finding better times/days. I know I might be crazy but I'm going to do BOG 3 times - breakfast , lunch and dinner on separate days. I figure this way whenever I do come back I can choose my favorite time of day and report back for others as well. I actually just grabbed a later lunch at 1:20pm on our departure day figuring it would be a nice non rushed way to end our trip since our plane doesn't leave until 7pm so would put ME at around 4pm.

I hope everyone was able to find things that work for them and also keep checking the cancellation boards to help if you can !

We're doing all 3 next month too! I'm actually really excited about it--last year we did lunch and dinner, I preferred dinner and DGF preferred lunch. so this trip we wanted to do both. then breakfast became available and we snagged a pre rope drop ADR, so we figure it's worth trying too. overall were calling it the trip of breakfasts (we're also doing CP and the Sci Fi dine-in), but I can't wait to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at BOG!
