It's September! I can see the date we are leaving on the Calendar!!!

Also I think my ticker is a little off on the number of days we have left. We leave on the 29th, which is what I entered. Today is the 1st. Yet we have 27 days left according to the ticker. How does that work exactly??

I can't wait! One month from today I will be riding Space Mountain! My favourite ride ever. Although I am not sure what I think about it having the Halloween layover, but I guess we will see! I have heard it's good, so I am sure I will love it.

As many years as it has been they have refurbed it and changed it so it is like a new ride for you. And that will make it more exciting!! At least I think so!!

You know I think so too! I will probably love it.

Every once in a while I will think of a ride or attraction that I hadn't thought of in a while, then I get excited all over again.

Someone brought up a thread about BTMMR yesterday because of it's anniversary, and I realized I hadn't thought of it for quite some time. But it was one of my family's favourites when we were there last. It was the ride we made it on the most. 4 times I believe! I am so excited to be able to ride it again. In 27 days I can!!

I am looking forward to seeing DCA almost as much. I know it doesn't have the same feel of DL, and I am not expecting it to, but I am still excited about a lot of the things to see there. And DTD as well. Last time we were there, all that was a parking lot! Lol.

I am worried that I may have spoiled it for myself with all the pictures and everything I've looked at. Last time we went there everything was a total surprise, which I think is what helped a lot with the magic feel. But I could not help myself!

I have been holding back on telling Dillon a lot of information, just so I don't ruin that effect for him. Apart from food porn, I haven't really shown him much. Garrett has been doing the same for Grace. Actually I don't think Garrett even knows much. He hasn't been prowling these boards like I have. He will have no idea either. He refused to watch WOC videos or anything, so it will be cool to see their reactions. I guess it will be good that I have been doing all the info searching and everything so we don't go in there and get totally lost in everything.

Also it has been nice meeting so many great people, who love Disney as much (or more) as I do.

Actually knowing kind of gives you a step up. I don't think that you have spoiled the magic, there are always things to discover. Even if it is what candy they are making at the different candy shops. You know what I mean?

I know what you mean. There will be enough to keep me as into is as them. I am the one with the obsession, so me in my happy place is enough magic for me. Also seeing the newbee's reaction to everything is almost exciting for me as the trip itself. I just hope it's the reaction I am expecting! Lol.

Yes, and another thing is the majority of pictures you have been seeing are without the holiday layover and that really changes it so much. I am sure that everyone will be thrilled too. There is so many things there that there is something for everyone.

It will be a lot of fun for everyone, I just know it. And if they leave with the feeling of needing to go back, like I know I will, then that is a bonus, and a reason to start planning another trip!

And you are right about the holiday stuff. It will seem a lot different from the pictures. Also the Halloween Party will be a blast as well.

I think I want to aim the next time we go around Christmas time. Not right at Christmas, but I'd like to see the decorations and everything. I think it would be so much fun. I will wait until this trip is over to decide whether I want it to be in DL or try WDW though!

If I was going to go to DLR in December I would go at the beginning of the month. We did one year and the park was empty. We were able to go on the rides with little or no lines.

Yeah I think it would be a good idea to go earlier in the month. My mom tried to go to WDW on Christmas day once and said it was soooo busy, that they didn't get to do much. I don't think I'd want to attempt that. Plus I like seeing my family for the days around Christmas.

I am more of a family holiday on Thanksgiving and go away at Christmas but I guess you don't have that option.

Yeah, we will be driving home during our Thanksgiving. But most of the time we do family things on both holidays.

I am not huge on the family at Christmas, I cook the big Thanksgiving meal and then my sister expects me to do the same for Christmas. Long story short we supported them long enough. Doesn't sound very Christian I know but there is a lot of garbage there.

I can understand not wanting to do both. Those meals are a lot of work! Delicious, but lots of work. And for someone to expect it both times is just not fair I don't think.

Well it seems like he got his act together, finally! He talked to his boss yesterday, and he got that day off! Nice to have that looked after.


Only 20 days to go! Almost in the teens!

It's so exciting to be able to look at the calendar on the Disney site, and see our dates without having to change the page! Still doesn't really seem real though. Probably won't until we get in the car, or even cross the border.

One more thing I am looking forward to about going into the US....Vanilla Coke! The real Coca-cola made vanilla coke. Not coke that just has vanilla extract poured in, that's not the same thing! We are probably going to bring back some if we can. We have been going through withdrawls for like 8 years now! I don't know why they took it away up here!

One of my dates showed up for HOJO's Entertainment Rate today!!! And it just happened to be October 5th, my birthday!!! Now hopefully a few more show up!
