A Six Thousand Kilometer Road Trip to Disneyland and Back- TR has started on page 37!

Yeah I started planning sometime in Feb, so it has been a long time. Time didn't seem to be going anywhere for a long time, but the last 5 months disappeared.

To me the last few weeks went so much faster than I expected.

They have seemed to have gone especially fast. It's already been about 15 days since I made all my reservations. Seems like yesterday.

How is Scotty holding up?

36 days!!!!

We are getting soooo close now, I can hardly contain myself. Just wait until we get to the single digits. I don't know what I will do with myself then!

I am still waiting for HOJO to post some rates for our days. Still nothing though. Oh well. Hopefully sometime in the next 36 days, they will post something!

I am so wishing that Six Flags was open on weekdays when we are there, but nope. It would be nice to utilize all the weekend days at DLR so that we don't have to rush to see everything we want to see. Mainly WOC, Fantasmic!, and the Fireworks. Fantasmic! and Fireworks are going to be a little stressful. We either have to see the early F! show and try and see what we can of the fireworks from where we are sitting/standing. Or we have to watch the fireworks and boot it over to catch the later F! show and hope we get a decent seat. But I hear that's what a lot of people do, so I can only imagine the crowds!

Oh well, we will do what we can and try not to stress out about it too much. We can always come back! Hopefully it will be sooner than 13 years. Although I am considering trying to save for a trip to WDW or a Disney Cruise. Yes all my future trip plans involve Disney in some way, but can you blame me???

So my Mom just got back from a week and a half in Southern California. How she managed to get there before me, when I have been planning for months, I will never know, but she has been sharing her pictures with me all day, and I am soooo jealous!

She got to visit Hollywood, LA, San Diego, and pretty much the whole area. She took one of those Star Bus Tours, and got to see the homes of Dr. Phil, Brad Pitt, and also the home where Michael Jackson died. I have to say I had a bit of a lump in my throat when that picture finished downloading. :sad2:

Anyways, on her Bus tour she got to see Walt Disney Studios, the Soda Fountain and Downtown Disney. I had one question for her: How do you go to Downtown Disney, and NOT be dying to go into the parks??? There is no way I would be able to be that close and not go in! Of course, I have been literally dreaming of DL for 13 years, and I guess she probably hasn't. Who is the crazy one?

Well, when I get home from work, maybe I will post some of the pictures she took. She got some pretty good ones!

How can she be that close and not go????? I would have to go. It is killing me I need to plan. I have the AP, I just need the other stuff. Darn it.

I am tempted to move to California for a year so I can get an AP and try (and fail) to get my fill of Disney!

You should plan some more trips if you have an AP!!

You'd never want to go back!!

I just noticed you went over 1000 posts!!! Yay!!!:yay:

Word of adice with the HoJo - they haven't been updating their website frequently with their available dates so I would suggest calling ;) Some new dates opened up for both September and October so you may be in luck! I call every Monday rather than waiting for the website to update. I'm going a little crazy.

Yup! Lorealle updates it when she can, but she has said herself they usually get a new calendar at least once a week. Most of the time it wont change, but at least this way you wont accidentally miss when one becomes available.

So true!

I was actually wondering what was going on with the site, cause it hadn't been updated in so long, but it's good to know dates are still being added.

Hopefully some of yours get added!

35 days!!!

I just got off the phone with our insurance broker. I had almost completely forgot to set up travel insurance! Don't want to be forgetting that! So now if one of us happens to get hurt (knock on wood), we don't have to worry about crazy medical expenses!

So glad I remembered before it was too late! Better to pay $40 now, than $10,000 later!

Disney is finally starting to get some of their entertainment posted on the October calendar, so I phoned dining to see if they happen to be taking reservations for WOC dining packages yet, but they are not. Hmph. Well I guess I will just have to wait a little longer! :rolleyes1
