A Sister & Brother Return! AKL Bound! 8/1 Update pg. 46! AND WE'RE OFF!!

After having stayed at CSR & then at CBR , CSR isn't narly as large as people say. CBR is HUGE, CSR is walkable all the way around the water, CBR was not. I would not want to stay in the Ranchos section but I'm a refillable mug girl and we need to be near the main building. We did breakfast a few times at PM and the servings were HUGE and yummy!

Sounds like I'm going to have to request "close to lobby" but i've just about given up on room requests, out of every time i've gone i've never gotten what i requested except for pop century! I really want to stay in Casitas just because it seems the prettiest out of all of them, but I really just want to be close to the lobby! The first day there, I'll have to judge based on bus stops whether its worth it to take the PM food back to the room or eat at the PM and than catch the bus

Your new resort plans sound great! Coronado is very fun...it's so bright and pretty and festive! The walks can be long, but just think of it as an extra Mickey bar or dessert somewhere (we had a long walk when we stayed there last May, and I know that's what I was thinking while walking!)

lol...and this is totally random, but have you ever watched those Denise Austen exercise shows? My mom used to do them years ago, and I remember they did a show at Coronado Springs one time. Whenever we're there and walking around I think "this looks like the area where they filmed that Denise Austen episode..."

I think Coronado Springs is a very pretty resort. Out by the waterfront is beautiful!

The CM at the little snack place was less than friendly to Jill on her one and only visit, though. I told her we need to go back one more time so that she can get a better feeling about it. Maybe I can talk her into it this trip. Hopefully, the CM will be nicer this time and she can put CSR back on her good list. I'll look forward to hearing that you have good experiences there.

I do like the gift shop. They have some unique things.

I think we'll be at AKL on Monday evening, as it looks now, so expect a call then. If not, I'll try to give you a warning on here as to when I think we'll be there so you can be ready for a call. We won't have internet every night, but we will periodically.

David knows about Coronado Springs, I told him about it the day we upgrade. He still doesn't know about AKL! And here is what my plan was. Before checking into CSR, we have to go to Downtown Disney to renew the APs. In the car before we leave, I am going to go "here are the directions to CSR" and hand him this:

With MeMoms help, a hat will be in my bag and i'll post pictures of that when I receive it

And taped to the hat, is a paper that reads "Instead of wondering what the heck is going on, let me break it down for you. We are staying 3 days at Coronado Springs and 6 days at the Animal Kingdom Lodge!"

Just to excersize all the precautions that if he doesn't understand whats going on (which I suspect thats what is going to happen) he definitely will at that point! Video camera rolling, hopefully this should be a fun surprise!

And speaking of surprises, this Sunday is the anniversary gift reveal. David and I have worked really hard on this, we have a pirate theme going on, I ordered a treasure box online which we put the t-shirts in, and it looks like its going to be lots of fun! I guess you guys will see on Sunday!

Uh oh. I was thinking of maybe trying CBR if we go moderate on our next trip. Since it will have it's new pirate theme pool. However I thought CSR was big enough, if CBR is even more spread out I may re-think it as a choice.

I'm filming it! Of course grandma and grandpa and others will want to see it as well, so I'm going to film the whole thing and edit it so its internet friendly, and of course share with my Dis-friends!

Just wanted to chime in and say that I just booked my December trip with my mom and I chose CBR, but I paid extra for preferred. The preferred rooms are the 2 areas closest to the lobby/pool so I think we're all good! The pictures make it look really pretty but I wouldn't want to be so far away!

Got my t-shirts today from disneyshopping!! $5 each!!!! I may not wear all of them, but $5?? Awesome! David even wanted the matching shirt for one of them, so that should be fun!
