A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Would it be possible for you to e-mail me the Word Document for the Epcot Passport? Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart!

Also wanted to let you know I am eternally grateful for all the design ideas on this thread. I am doing 5 books total so some of these pages have been a great help. For 3 of the books, I am using 5x8 index cards & we are adding our own stickers & embellishments to make the autograph card for the characters to sign then we will put a picture on the opposite side when we get back so we will have pictures & autographs together. While we are in Disney World, we are using a 3 ring binder with a personalized cover slipped in under the plastic but when we get back, we are going to cover them with Disney fabric so that the albums will be a keepsake my nieces can look at for MANY yrs to come. I am having some trouble finding some clipart (with a higher resolution that copies well into MS Word) though to make my stickers & was wondering if somebody could help...I need Pocahontas, Pinocchio, Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, Clarabelle Cow, Clarice, & Alice in Wonderland.

Thanks for the help!

I just sent out the files, so check your e-mail. It sounds like those autograph books are going to look great when they are finished! There are a couple of sites that I like for Disney Clipart. I think you will find what you need here: http://www.wondersofdisney.disneyfansites.com/clipart/clipart.html and here: http://www.disneyclips.com/. Good luck, and post a picture of the finished product if you get a chance! :goodvibes

So I am finding these really great pictures (clip art) on the sites you posted but when I try to save as or copy/ paste into a word document, I get a box around the image. Can anyone help me figure out how to get the image ONLY? Thanks in advance :confused3

Also got your e-mail...thank you VERY much!!!

Just wanted to thank you for posting these. I am so excited to have clipart of each character in an autograph book. My kids are little so it will be so nice for them to see the character clipart who signed it. I can't thank you talented people enough!

I am ordering 4 sets of 4x6 matte finishes from snapfish with the July coupon code. I think I am going to get some binders that hold 4x6 index cards. I'm hoping this will make it easier than a photo album for signing purposes. I need easy with 4 kids under 5.

I think Dolly has the answer you are looking for in post #1 here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2286193. If you haven't looked through this thread yet, it is full of great tips and tricks for using MS Word for making your own DISigns. :goodvibes

That sounds like they will turn out wonderfully! I hope your little ones have fun with them! :goodvibes

I feel so lost, lol. I've looked at a lot of the links & cards people have made, so talented. I am so not!
I'm not even sure where to start! We're not going until December so I have time to figure it out I hope, lol. Trying to make my DS2 an autograph book instead of buying the little generic one at Disney. I'm really not sure who to include. Any guidance or advice would be graciously accepted!!

The one I do know, does anyone have a Darth Vader card made? That would be the only autograph my 10 yr old will be interested in this time around.

& does anyone have a Handy Manny or Oso Play & Dine one done?

:worship: Thanks for pointing me in the right direction MusicMouse!

Don't panic! It's not as complicated as it might look. First decide what size book you want to make (4x6 is typical). Then pick out a style of autograph cards that you like. Then look at the updated character list in post #2, and find cards for each of those characters. Follow the handy steps in post #1 to save them to a file on your computer. Be sure to add in a few generic pages in case you see some "rare" characters. Pay close attention to the list - I have noted the characters that you will see but who do not sign (so you don't need to include them). I have Play and Dine cards in my Photobucket: http://s1019.photobucket.com/albums...ograph Cards/Character Meals/#!cpZZ2QQtppZZ16. Natalie has Darth Vader in her Star Wars File http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r132/donatalie/Autograph Books/Volume 2/Star Wars/. :goodvibes

Hi

Many thanks for making my Amber Autograph Cover - it is fantastic.

We have had a change to our plans and are now taking my DD's friend with us on vacation this year so I wondered if you could possibly do me the same cover with "Lourdes' Autograph Book".

Here is the link to the one you did for Amber

I would really appreciate it - thank you so much.

Sara

Here you go :goodvibes:

I found a bunch I like. I'm planning on doing the book thru shutterfly.

My question now is, some of the ones I saved, when I put them in the photobook, I'm getting a notice that they have low resolution. Can I fix that & how?

Now that is what I call service - thank you so much!!!

Sara xx

You're welcome - you happened to catch me at a good time. ;)

Because the images we use are animated, they don't need as high a resolution to print clearly as an actual photograph. If the resolution is at least 1024x750, it should be fine. :goodvibes

Thank you so much! Now I'm really getting into it, lol. I'm going to have a hard type picking with pages to use!

Would it be possible for you to make me one of your cover pages? I love that design!! My son's name is Landon.

Thank you for all your help!! I'm glad I decided to post & try my hand at this myself!

Also, do you know of any good generic autograph pages? For the characters that are out that we don't have a specific page for? Most of the pages I've saved so far kind of remind me of picture frames for an outline, with a washed out background pic & then the character & name.

I made two covers, so you can choose which you like better (or for front and back):

Natalie has some very nice generic pages here: http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r132/donatalie/2010 Autograph book/ and here: http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r132/donatalie/2010 Autograph book/#!cpZZ4QQtppZZ20

Personally, I like this one: . It's the one I used in my first book. :goodvibes

Oh my goodness!! I adore them both, too cute! Thank you so much!! I think to get all the pages I want, I may do 2 so they can have 2 different covers! They are beautiful. Thank you so much!!!

I like your generic page from your 1tst book. It's simple, I like that! I think that's the one I'll use!

Thank you so much...again! :worship::worship::lovestruc:lovestruc

I now wish I was eating at Akershus ..... those new cards are beautiful!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I have had several requests for some generic autograph cards, so I put together a few. Enjoy! :goodvibes
