A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Lotso, the Hugging Bear from Toy Story 3, will stop appearing in the Animation Building at the end of April. He will be replaced by a Winnie the Pooh and Friends Meet and Greet.

Thanks so much for the info about Artscow. And also the Disneyland dining autograph cards. I just ordered 4 photobooks and about 300 prints and all I had to pay for was shipping because of all the discount and deals I had. I will post photo when I get them.

Just got back and I LOVED the cards (and the reactions we got from some of the characters...Lilo was the best, and I don't even know this character)...but next time I need to do something different. I didn't want to bind the cards before I left since I didn't know who we would see and have blank pages. I separated the cards into categories (Mickey, Minnie, etc...) Princesses, Fairies, Miscellaneous...etc...and had them alphabetized to make it easier to find. I put them into coupon holders and every time we saw a character I had to find the right card and put it on the clipboard. It was really difficult. Especially, since I was doing it for each of my girls. Next time, I might just do one autograph book instead of one for each girl. Now I have to decide what I want to do with the autographs...bind it or make a photo book with their pictures with the characters too.

You are very welcome! So many people on the DISign forum were very kind to me when I was getting ready for my own trip last year, so this is my way of paying it forward.

I'm so glad that you liked the cards, even if the logistics were tough! I have two small boys, and I think I will be making a "family" autograph book for our next trip. It just seems like a lot less trouble to deal with!

YOU ARE TOO SWEET! I love them and the girls will be SOOOO excited. I am not the greatest at computers/graphics etc so this is such a huge help.
I really appreciate all the great advice/tips and have enjoyed the heck out of reading this thread. I will try to post pics of my autograph books when I get them finished. I sent the autograph cards to Shutterfly to get printed as photos then I am going to use scrapbook adhesive to glue the 4x6 pics to 5x7 cardstock (for a bit of sturdiness). More work than I would have liked but I didn't really have another choice w my darn printer not working.
Then it will be off to Kinkos for spiral binding.
I am making 3 of these (1 for my dd and the other 2 for my nieces who we are going to Disney with)....I leave in 2 weeks so hopefully, I can get this done. Hehehe. We'll see.

Woohoo! My daughter will be soooo excited to meet them. I'm glad I haven't quite finished our autograph book. I'll add cards for them over the weekend for it, and I've already picked us a Phineas & Ferb tshirt design that we'll wear on a DHS day.

Any other predictions to character changes?

I know June is still a few months, but since I'm ordering from Arts Cow I want to give plenty of time.

Hi Folks,
I went to 4shared, clicked on the Amelia's Autographs picture, double clicked it to make it bigger, then SAVE PICTURE AS....., and saved it to my My Picture folders
Now, when I go back into my MY PICS folder on my computer and click on it to look at the file, it appears about 2 inches wide and 7 inches long...all distorted. Weird.
I saved some autograph cards from Natalie's 4shared file and used the same process and all of those cards look fine when I open them on my computer in My Pictures folder.
Any idea what I might have done wrong?

oops........I stated in the above post that I got Music Man's Amelia's autograph file he did for me in 4shared, I meant to say Photobucket. Wonder if that is what I did wrong. I saved Music Man's covers the same way I saved Natalies (who uses 4shared as her storage place). Must have made a technical error in the saving of the file since I have never saved from a photobucket account before. Off to figure this out....

Just rechecked everything to make sure I was saving it properly...hmmmm...
I click on the image, make it big, right click to "save picture as" and save it into a folder on my computer.
Then when I go into the folder to check it.....instead of showing up in its normal dimensions...it shows up stretched out horizonally and distorted.
Any ideas where I am screwing this up? Thanks all.
