A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

i am going to attempt making a book for the first time!
does anyone have an updated character list for september!

i dont want to get carried away printing cards, so a list may help me keep it in check!

Thanks

I'm looking for an Ariel w/legs autograph card. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find one, though I know I've seen one somewhere!

Also, will/has anyone made autograph cards for Flynn, Rapunzel, Mother Gothel and Vidia?

Thanks!

Welcome to the designing madness! :welcome: There is a current list of characters in post #2, which is updated as of yesterday. Be sure to include some generic cards at the end in case you find some "rare" characters. :goodvibes

Natalie has Ariel with legs and Vidia (see post #1 for the link). Penny (Chaoscent) is working on Flynn and Rapunzel. It is still unconfirmed as to whether Mother Gothel will be appearing as a character. I will add an update here on this thread when the new card designs are ready. :goodvibes

Can anyone tell me where to find a card with Lotso? I looked through all of Natalie's designs, as well as most of the other links from the first post, and couldn't find him.

ETA: Question for those who made photo books - did you find that the Sharpie smeared when you closed the book after the character signed it?

You can find Lotso here: http://s226.photobucket.com/albums/dd181/Chaos1Cent/Autograph Cards/Toy Story/ in Chaoscent's photobucket. The Sharpies don't smear, and acutally work better than any other kind. I would recommend the one-click kind so that you don't have to worry about fooling around with capping and uncapping the pens. :goodvibes

for those of you who used snapfish or anything like that,
how did u get around the 45 page limit?

I am prob going overboard with the amount of pages, but I want the options!!

Thanks! I'm using some of Natalie's autograph cards and somehow missed Vidia.

I'm sorry for being a pain but does anybody have Ariel with legs in the seafoam green dress? All I've seen so far is Ariel in the pink dress.

Trust me, 45 pages is not overboard. When we went in February we met 68 different characters over the course of a week! The 45 page limit on Snapfish is only for the flipbooks. If you make a 5x7 photobook you can go up to 150 pages (now THAT might be overkill :rotfl2:). If you are worried about the books getting too thick, many folks here have reported good results with making their character dining pages into a separate book. :goodvibes

I don't think there is a card with Ariel in her green dress (although that was what she was wearing when we met her at Akershus). If you put out a new request thread on the main board, I'm sure one of the DISigners could make one for you. :goodvibes

I'm just throwing this out there as an idea (that's not novel and I'm sure has been mentioned before!):

For our last trip, this past Feb, I had the autograph images (I think I went with Natalies) upload to snapfish and printed as 4x6 photos. For each character that we encountered, I found their autograph picture, put it on a small clipboard and handed to the character to sign. It was very easy and convenient for both us to get ready, my kids to give to the character, and the character to sign.

Once we got back home I had all of the pictures we took of our kids with the characters printed and then put them in a 2x2 photo album with the picture of my kids with the character on top of the page and the signed autograph picture on the bottom of the page. It's cool to have the autograph, but to have a picture of the kids with character next to the autograph as well, is a great memory keeper!

Over a six-day trip (Epcot and MK twice and HS and AK once each) and trying to get as many autographs as possible, we got around 70 total. I think I had printed around 100 autograph pictures and the only one I didn't print that we encountered was Frozones (to be honest...I had no idea who Frozone was; that's why I am not an Incredible!!!!), but I did have some "generic" cards so all was okay...

does anyone know a card for a cover of all the 4 parks and all the characters?
i know natalie has one but I cant seem to take her personalization of and get mine on without it looking funny

I am using photobucket, anyone have any suggestions on how to get my own writing on it?

Jillyb - will this work for you?

I can replace her with an Ariel in a slightly bluer dress, if that's more of what you had in mind. :goodvibes

If you could post a link to the cover design you want and tell me what you want to write on it, I'll give it shot. :goodvibes

I used Mixbook for my flipbooks...they have a 99 page limit :) and I was really pleased with the quality. I hope to post pics of everything tomorrow.

Okay, this thread has completely sucked me in.:rotfl:I would like to make two photobooks, thinking I will print them myself as I'd like them to be on cardstock. My question is, how do you personalize the covers? Can someone do this for me? And where are the cover designs? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I'm still reading through the thread so I may have missed it. I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Thanks! there is the link
