That is just awful! I completely understand why you are so upset - I know how long it takes to put one of these together! I would march into that FedEx store and have a little chat with the manager. They need to make it right! Are these all cards that you printed out yourself on cardstock? You might want to have them printed as photographs (it's quick and won't use up all of your ink) and then have them bound while repeating over and over to the employees that it is to be bound at the TOP! Good luck, and let us know how it works out.![]()

I'm so sorry to hear what happened. I completely understand why you are upset. I would be devastated! But I do agree with MusicMouse about pushing them to fix it. They need to make it right - it was their mistake as far as I can see, not yours!
This worked well for me and was much cheaper than using my own ink to print. I made photobooks this year so I didn't print any but when we have done cards, I have always had them printed as photos purely for cost effective reasons. A sharpie marker worked just fine - we had them done in matt finish and none of the signatures were ruined in any way by smudging.
Thank you. My husband did come around, saying he knew how much time I put in and that after looking at them more he agreed they looked pretty bad. But I knew you all would understand more than he did! I would go back, but the person I dealt with today was the manager, so I'm not sure that going back again will make any difference. But I could I try, if I think I want to trust them again will all that effort!
That is a total bummer! I was afraid the books for my son and nephew would get messed up, so I'm making my own using this. I know that doesn't help you now, but maybe you could try it in the future. Is there any way you can trim the blank space off the top of the cards?
When I first started this project I intended to print them as photos but lots of people on this thread said to print them on my own printer. I tested out printing some as photos, and I like the way they look a lot better. But there is one thing I can't figure. How do you bind them so that the binding doesn't cut off part of the image? That's one of the things I hate about the way FedEx messed up this project. The binding cuts 1/4 inch into the image on the left side and it just looks ugly. I could cut off the top, I think, but it wouldn't solve the problem at the top.
The other problem I have is with the laminating of the covers. I glued the printed images to chipboard, which is I think what others have done and when I dropped them off they thought it would be ok. But they couldn't seal them all around so the laminating is bubbly and already pealing. Any ideas what I did wrong? I'm not generally good at this kind of thing, but I thought I had this one figured.

Thank you all so much.
