how did we think up the names for color, who decided which color would be which, how did they find all the different shades of color, how do you describe colors?

Easy to describe colours! i mean blue is blueish, green is greenish, red is reddish (heh almost looks like radish)

where did everybody's name originate from? could we just give someone a random name like Carrot or Paper because a name is just another word?
