How many shirts do most people make for disney? We will be there for 8 days and depating on doing shirts for every day or 7 of those days. If you have pics please post, I would love to see them. popcorn::

We usually do only 1 or 2 special shirts. My daughter is 16 and is very into what she wears...she would rather wear her own clothes if you know what I mean! :rotfl2:

I think you should make as many as you want!!! I love for my little one and my sis's little one's to wear them all the time!!

thanks for the input. As you can see mine are little kids. My 9 year old accually loves to match with what I wear. She even will go fix her hair like mine. I plan on us wearing the mickey tye dyed shirts, a set with each person wearing a different dwarf, mickey heads with names, the boys- with star wars and girls with princesses, dont want to leave shirts and then I have a lime green shirt but not quite sure what I want to put on that one. any suggestions?

You could make your lime green shirt your "DIS" shirt, and maybe have the outline of Mickey's head with "Do you DIS?" above or below or inside.

do you design shirts? if so can you do one? with do u dis inside the shirt- just the outline of the mickey head.

This will be the first time making my own but last year I tried to take 2 or 3 custom shirts for my son for each day.He was 2 though and didn't really have a say in his clothes. This year ,Im afraid he has more of his own opinion.Thank goodness he loves Disney like I do. :thumbsup2

Right now, I have 4 custom shirts. We will be there 8 days, that includes travel days. Two of our days are water park days. I have a peach colored shirt that I'd like to do something with but I'm unsure of what to do. Any suggestions? Here are my pics:

Just wondering what kind of iron-on transfers you use?? (what brand, where from) Your shirts look PERFECT!!! :)

I am planning on doing about 10 shirts total for everyone. We are going to be there 10 nights. I would like a going there one to wear on the way down since we are riding the auto train this yr. I also have 1 to make up for when we go to Sanibel Island after Disney(Thanks Amy!). I might do a Sea World one too. It will be a day we are staying at Disney. I am going to ATTEMPT the tie die one as well. I am also making autograph books, pressed penny containers, magnets, and other lil things. I am using these things as family bonding time together. No one seems to be into it as much as I am however:confused3 They just go along with me:lmao: I think I will make a hoodie for everyone as well. This will make it so much easier to figure out what to take with. Otherwise I always overpack.

wow better get started now. You have a lot of work to do. I am doing the autograph books. I am uploading them to walmart.com as we speak. you can order a 4x6 memory book from them. It is not going to cost that much. I am also doing penny press condainers, luggage tags, and a few other odd and end things.

I know OT but...Yes I am getting started now. That is too funny about Walmart. I just sent my samples to see how they would look printed out by them earlier today. So much better than wasting all my in and they will look so much better.

I used Avery Dark Transfers. After I printed them, I trimmed them. It was a tedious job but I really like the looks of them. I've also done passports, autograph books, pressed penny tubes, welcome letter, invitations to meals, stroller cards...for the rental strollers, candy and gum wrappers. I'm having too much fun thanks to all these wonderful Disigners.

HOLY COW!!! You hand-trim all of those out little-peice by little-peice from the dark transfers? Wow, I'm impressed!!! I'll have to try that with at least one!

Thanks
Laura

Trimming it really wasn't that bad. I used small, really sharp scissors. My scissors are from creative memories...I use them for scrapbooking. I wish I had had some really small sewing scissors. That would have been perfect. I also used an xacto knife. I chose to cut them out because I like the way the color shows up with dark transfers rather than light transfers. The worst part was peeling of the backing.

We did a shirt every day last trip and it was great! Especially for the pictures.
