What size load would you set the washer for? Especially if you were a housewife and mom of a daughter aged 38..........just would like to hear some answers.......I will tell you shortly what MY mom did.......ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's me and my son and I do a extra large load ( the biggest it does) every other day:D

I always do sheets one set at a time (plus some pillowcases) on the largest load setting.

I had surgery a week ago and my mom is in to "help". For that load of laundry, I found the setting at extra small...and alsofound that she had thrown in a few extra towels and pieces of clothes!!! I think I am gonna have to rethink mom "help" for any future surgeries...she s driving me crazy! I shuuder to think what happens when it comes time to make the bed with the freshly laundered sheets!!! Please send lots of pixie dust my way...Istill have a week of this tourture left....and for 5 days of it...dbf is out of town!!! Someone is liable to be seriously hurt!!!

Sorry, I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes...what happened to the sheets since they were put in an extra small load?

BTW, I'd have made it an XL load as well.

I would set the machine for an extra large load, otherwise I would worry that the soap would not all rinse out.

What happened?

LOL, Liz!!!

I can just picture your face as you struggle to bite back what you really want to say! :)

She thinks she's helping... just keep saying to yourself, "it's only for a few more days, only a few more days..."

If that doesn't work, can you double up on the pain meds?

:teeth:

Oh liz!:p Your sheets got a little sprinkling , did it?;)

She didn't try to dry it too, did she?

Good luck ...she means well!:) Maybe you could get a countdown timer for when BF gets back and can run interference for you.;)

I'm so sorry Liz. That REALLY sucks. Sounds like the kind of thing my mother (who once had to call the plumber because she managed to somehow flush a thick pair of cotton training pants when I was 3) would do.

TOV

my washing machine made the most horrendous noise and I got up to check....good thing!! I fixed the problem and took a pain pill.....I think it is time for another!!!!
:smooth:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Maybe you could slip her a sleeping pill......

P.S. - I got "mail" today! I think you must have aced coloring in kindergarten! :)

:earseek: ..it depends on how much it fills the tub for the setting I use..if its cram packed in there X-large..
Sorry your having a rough time

How old is your Mom? Could she see the settings on the washing machine? Perhaps she really believed the washer was set to the correct setting. I suspect she REALLY is trying to help you during your recovery. Maybe if you can anticipate future problems and just mention things "gently" to her that other incidents may be avoided. I know you are hurting........but I suspect she really is there trying to help you.

Maybe she forgot to change the setting on the machine----
