Now that you are in the right frame of mind, wait until you are ready and then pick a resort that you like. From a cost point of view, since you enjoyed OKW, when you are ready, you may want to look at OKW since it has the cheapest resale cost of the on-site resorts.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that OKW is the lowest points values and resale cost. I almost always pick the most expensive thing possible without even trying!!

I know how you feel!! I have to get EVERYTHING done this week... Tonite is my last nite to work for the week... so I have the next 7 off. Then i work 3nites...then vacay starts YAY!!! Unfortunately with the long overnite shifts...i accomplish NOTHING on days that I work...except a shower, and that is about it
In a way it seems almost more stressful only having ME to get ready to go... because I have to make sure those staying home have clean clothes and don't starve!!!LOL
I've never had to worry about going grocery shopping BEFORE a vacation!!!

Since we live in Orlando, I never really thought about DVC, but now that I heard you can use your points to travel other places, I feel the need to look into it. And Mitch said he'd listen too.
Although I couldn't even afford the airfare let alone the purchase price!
I've heard it is crazy some places but so far in Connecticut it is business as usual. Hope it stays that way!!
OKW is very pretty. You definitely forget you're in Disney World. It is very laid back.
We plan to do the tour in November. I am sure DH will be instantly hooked - he's the more "throw caution to the wind" type and I'm the "can we afford this? will we get our money worth?" type.

Is it just me or are these guys and gals genius?! I get totally choked up at the "time of your life/what will you celebrate" commercials. I'm such a sap! I wonder if they recognize the 2nd Tuesday of the month or I've escaped the awfulness that is my work celebrations??

I'm thinking re-sale, and at OKW or SSR, the cheaper resorts. Though, I KNOW we both will love BLT
The two times I have called (once to change my resort and once to make a payment), the CMs have asked me if we are celebrating anything -- and then seem to make a point to say, "Really anything can be a celebration." So, my guess is that they do recognize 2nd Tuesday and Escape from Awfulness.
I can picture the escape from awfulness button now.
When we went to WL during our trip, there was a notice in our room that if we went to the presentation they would give $100 gift certifcate that could used on food, souvenirs and such. I really wish we had found the time to do it. So look for one of those in your room, it wasn't in our Pop room, only in our WL room.

LL I'm glad I popped over here!!! I was figuring on doing the tour too... i didn't know that they did that!! I'll have to look for it, or ask someone

DVC is so awesome. Thanks for sharing your pictures of Old Key West...they are beautiful. It's my goal to stay in all of the DVC resorts sometime...2 down, a third in December, and hopefully all the rest in the future!
