A run of bad luck

I can't win. Two years ago my purse was stolen at the movies. Got the purse back but minus the just cashed paycheck money. A while later our brand new camera was stolen at WDW. Just recently the flowers were stolen from my Mothers grave. Today my purse is stolen from Walmart. Ugh. I know times are hard but come on!

Are you sure about that? Cemeteries do throw away flowers after several days. I'm sorry for what you're going through.

ETA-unless the flowers are fake? That's terrible of someone to do that.

Oh I am sorry. I lost my purse a few months back and it was never turned in (dropped it out the car door dropping the kids at school--realized it about 10 minutes later and went back and it was long gone and never turned in). It is such a pain and expense to replace everything.

That said, and I do feel for you, if personal items (the flower do not fall into this category--I find that terrible, unless the cemetery was just cleaning up) keep being stoled from you you should look at how you handle your belongings. Movies, WDW and Walmart do not tend to be the kind of places that someone just snatches a purse or camera out of someone's hands. More than likely you had set your items down (in the cart, in a stroller, on a table top, in the seat next to you, on the floor, etc) where you were neither touching htem nor looking at them and that makes it easy for someone to take the items. No it is not right for someone to steal under any circumstances, but it will happen and you can do a lot to protect yourself by simply holding or watching your valuables at all times while in public.
I do hope you are able to keep it from happening anymore what a headache!

Just got back from renewing everything. They are still looking at the tapes. They said it was a couple with two small children that took it. Do you believe that? What a nightmare! Moms flowers were a huge hanging basket on a hook. Had to weigh a good 30lbs. Not something the caretakers would have tossed. People are just sick these days.

Sorry you've had things stolen. People who steal have no morals.

But, if my purse was stolen twice I'd be keeping it much closer (as in wearing a shoulder bag and never setting it down) to me so it couldn't happen as easily.

The hanging basket from your mother's grave is just terrible. I hope there is a special place in you-know-where for people who steal from graves. That is about the lowest you can get, to steal from dead people. It's been done from my dad's grave too. Mom and I bought a "saddle" thing that attaches right on top of the head stone and then you put silk flowers in it. It was stolen. And I had a small ornamental flag (the kind that come in different designs for the seasons, etc. and hang on a metal rack) stolen from his grave as well. I see so many graves that are heavily decorated with flowers and trinkets and such, and just wonder how things don't get stolen from them, or maybe they do and they just keep replacing them, I don't know. It's disgusting though, I know.

Uggg, that just stinks. I guess all you can do is hope that the kids didn't see what mom and dad did, and feel for those poor kids.

As for the flowers, you know the saying, Karma is a ________! That is so wrong. I am sorry for that.

And as for the PP who lost her purse at school, that has to be a horrible feeling. I mean, it is soeone yo uhave probably run into or even worse know. That to me is really sad.
