A Rumblee in my Tumblee Pre-Trip Report

Sounds like vent morning...
just let it roll off your back... as I said on my post I plan everything out (we all know things will vary accordingly and it is not written in stone) the one time I did not plan everyone felt like they were tossed into choas...
SO, you are doing what you know needs to be done to ensure your family fun... and they sound jealous ;)

well I have to talk "in code" just in case this ever reaches the wrong person... BUT would you be annoyed with someone who anytime you talk about your trip the only coments they have about it is "wow, you have this trip planned down to when you are going to the bathroom" - this is after looking at my plans the first time and hearing about our trip. Not anything like "wow- you guys will have fun!" or "wow- your plans look great!" This person brings up our trip all the time and has NEVER said anything positive. Every time this person says something about it, it is how "planned" it is. Here is another example "wow- I could never go on a vacation like that- to me that would be awful" ok one more... "when asked about what our plans are on a certain day and I replied with all our details the response was "oh- you have a lot planned".

:headache:UGH - it hurts my feelings. I put a lot of work into this. I like planning. I really do think that my family will have a better vacation because I have planned this out. It bothers me extra because this is so typical of this person to act this way. Anytime something good happens to my family there is such jealous issues that come out of it from this person. Oh well- I just needed to vent. I feel better now.
I get questioning looks anytime I mention I am going to Disney since I don't have kids. Disney is for all ages! :wizard:

Vent away, we of all people understand!

You WILL have a better time with things planned out. How can you NOT plan when you have a toddler?

I'd rather go with a plan and end up ditching it then to go with no plan and need it!

You're going to have SO much fun! 8 more days!

What's the Disney movie night movie this week?

Thank you all for the support. It feel good to get that all off my chest!

I totally agree with this. If you are there and you realize that you can't stick to the plan you just improvise. Just as long as you aren't stressing that thing aren't going to 'plan'.

Our 1st trip 1yr ago. We didn't have a plan. We were able to make ressies with no problem. We made a Chef Mickey's ressie for the next day at 6pm with no problem. We walked up and got into restaurants too. This was March 08. It must of been luck because this March it was really busy. We would have never been able to do this in March 09. Doing a Disney vacation is not like any other 'vacation' I have ever experienced. There needs to be planning or you will be eating burgers for lunch and dinner for 7 days straight!!!

People like you 'friend' annoy me too. If they didn't want to hear your answers they should not have asked you the question. Next time you can just say that your planning is going really good and you can't wait to get out of Red Sox Country!!! LOLOL:lmao:

Stupid jealous co-workers!:headache:

You will have a great time because you have planned a vacation that is specifically for your family. You have 2 little ones, of course you are going to plan! Mike and I never planned anything, but a couple of ADR's before Emily and it was great, but once we started taking Emily, it was necessary to plan our days.

Woo Hoo, we'll be there next week!:cool1:

Hey hun,

I just wanted to say that we appreciate all the hard work and planning you have put into this trip. Without it, I would have no idea what we are doing...its not only gonna help us have a great trip while we are there, but it has helped build the anticipation. You're the best!

I love you.

LOL- Wayne and I were already noticing that a yankee /red sox game would be on while we are there and we are hoping that they will be playing it somewhere!!

Stupid jealous co-workers!:headache:
Sent you a PM on this one...

This is so funny- I was looking at my spreadsheet from our last trip in 07 - and it is SO basic. I think we made 1 ADR a day if that... this trip we have 3 ADR's a day... but you know if we also have the option of calling and canceling and just going to a CS if we choose. I agree with everyone, its better to have a plan!!

I love you too. Thank you for being such a good hubby to me. :lovestruc

Loved your unbirthday cake!

VERY FUNNY! This certain someone has been to Disney and is ALWAYS putting it down and says all the time how much she does not like it. - I thought maybe that was because she knows how much Wayne and I love it. :confused3

This is your birthday too right!? I hope i get to meet you at CP!!

Don't fret sweetie. I know of people like that as well. It drives me crazy that they just don't get it and are always rolling their eyes at all the planning I do. We all know it is a LOT of work to plan all these things out but the reason we do is to ensure that our families have the best times possible with as little worry as possible. I firmly believe it is better if you plan. We aren't touring comando style or anything we just don't want to be standing around wasting time going..."Uh, gee, what should we do now?" or "Where should we eat?", etc., etc. My hubby doesn't understand it all either and thinks we're kind of crazy on here but he does greatly appreciate it when we get there and there is no worries and he always says I did a wonderful job. It is worth it, just try not to let people like that get to you...like you said, I believe it is a jealousy thing. I understand completely. I believe we all do here on the dis. So vent away whenever you need to.

"WHATever" to those people who just don't let themselves get excited by the "magic" -- planning and thinking about it is half the fun for us as adults, who want to make the very best experience we can for our kids and ourselves! It makes the magic for me, frankly. All the planning and anticipation. And like PP said, rather have overplanned than underplanned, then you can relax, rather than scramble...
:)

Mean people suck.
If you don't have anything nice to say.....
I bet her vaacations are a mess

Yay for great weather!!

I second that "whatever" to your coworker. And I also agree that the planning is half the fun. It makes seeing it all come to life that much more special. You keep planning and be proud!!!

And, I just noticed your post that you will be going back for MNSSHP!!! Woohoo:cool1:

This is your birthday too right!? I hope i get to meet you at CP!!
Yup! I'll be there in my shirt with Tigger that says "Today is my Birthday". Joe will have on his Walt & Mickey T. We are meeting up with a coworker of mine that is going to be at WDW the same dates as me-in fact his family will be on the same Jet Blue flight as Joe & I. It will just be him with us at breakfast-he's leaving his Mom/Dad & sister in the room-they like to sleep in.:scared1: It will be nice for him to have 1 early morning on the trip. His family has a 9:45 ish ADR for CP so he'll have a few hours of fun with us.

I think I might recognize you guys.

LOL:) yeah i guess when I think about it, I would not want to go on on eof her vacations. It would be lots of "what do you want to do?"

It's funny how we all seem to think the same way here. :rotfl2:

Well  right back at them! You are so right. We will have a great trip from all this planning. AND I would have missed out on meeting all of you if I wasnt so into planning!

Hi there! I"m sorry your coworker is such a pain. I have a few at my place too. Not much more to say that hasn't been said but I completely understand how you feel. Don't let her bring you down. Only one more week to go for you! WOW!! :woohoo:
