So outside my front door on top of a decoration hanging on my house a robin decided to make a nest:

I hope to get outside in the next couple of days to get some other shots... It will be neat when the eggs hatch (assuming I don't get attacked :scared1: )

The mother already doesn't like me poking around because she keeps leaving me presents on my car.

How neat! Great color on the eggs.

Hopefully we get to see more of the stages (and hey, be careful out there!) :rotfl:

Very nice eggs. Beautiful colour.

Just off to make an omlette............;)

I got out today to snap some more pictures:

very cool, and beautiful shots too!
We have a dove nesting, I hope to get some shots in over the next couple days.

That's my favorite shade of blue. Thanks for sharing them!

The robin eggs hatched today. They look kind of like aliens. The black things are their eyes.

Congratulations!!! Does that make you an uncle? Your pictures are so cool. Can't wait to see how the birds develop. You might have to take some time off from work to make sure you get their first flights on camera.

oh my goodness, that is amazing! thanks so much for sharing the pictures...they are amazing! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Joe, Love your pictures!!!:goodvibes

Keep those updates coming!

Great photos, esp. the color of the eggs. I'm surprised Mom's letting you get that close without dive-bombing you.

The mom was hunting for worms yesterday when I took those pictures. She is getting more confident in coming after us when we leave the house however.
:thumbsup2

Very cool. They have fared better than the inhabitants of a robin's nest my children and their friends found. They insist that one of the kids "accidentally" (I have my doubts about that, but that's their story and they're stickin' to it) knocked the nest out of a pine tree across the street. There were only two eggs, one of which was broken. They returned the nest to the tree with the intact egg because I wouldn't let them keep it and try to raise it themselves (what a mean mom I am), but I don't think the mother has been back to it.

Any photo tips? A cardinal has built a nest in a large bush in my yard.
