Fresh is a buffet? Typical buffet?

DW and I had breakfast at Fresh this past Jan. and thought it was very good. I didn't think it was the typical buffet because they did fix several items "fresh". The meats and potatoes were already prepared, but egg dishes, pancakes, french toast were prepared while you wait. The juices were excellent.

Like Garry M says, it is a buffet, and there is no "table service " per se. But rather than just (like at Boma as an example) having a large buffet table and a small omlette "station", Fresh is just the opposite. The omlette-pancake-french toast area is large with what looked like up to 6 chefs taking orders and preparing the food. They feature that sort of "fresh" preparation.

So if someone just wanted to go to the buffet table and plop 4 spoons of scrambled eggs and about 14 pancakes on the plate (which I've seen some folks attempt!!), this isn't that sort of buffet.

Thanks so much for the great review. I immediately adjusted my plan for the next trip to include breakfast at Fresh. And from reading the other posts, it looks like I'm not alone. I really hadn't heard about it before, but it sounds like a nice change from the standard breakfast buffet.

We had breakfast at Fresh last week thanks to this review and it was great. I loved both the antioxidant and detox juices. The detox juice had beets, blueberries and something else??

A huge convention was just starting the morning we dined there and although most were going to the tents outside for free breakfast a fair number went to Fresh. The chefs handled the egg orders very well. I had a bacon and cheddar cheese omelet. I think it had about a cup of finely chopped bacon in it! We had a wonderful server as well.

We really enjoyed Fresh and will be back next trip. Thank you for the timely review Uncleromulus.

I had heard good things about Fresh, although not as detailed as your experience. I had wanted to try it on our next trip and
booked it before reading your report.

Thanks for the review - it was right on time for us. We're going for a quick trip Thanksgiving weekend and we're staying at the Swan for the first time. We were trying to find one more good breakfast place close by. Now I know - we'll try Fresh. The Swan has a good place for breakfast as well. It's called Garden Cove. It's also a buffet but made to order eggs are available. I can't stand the buffets with eggs that lay in a tray under lights. YUK.
