So Jealous! I am trying to plan one now and trying to talk my husband into it! Our last Disney Trip was supposed to originally be a disney cruise, but when i compared prices i could do disney world for cheaper and a longer stay than a cruise. My son wants to do another cruise and me and my husband have done a couple and love them, but never a Disney Cruise. I'm trying to convince him that the price is worth it!!Guys!!!! I have a count down!!!
It's our 20th wedding anniversary next year. We have talked ALOT about what to do. We finally decided on doing our very first cruise! A Disney one of course!
We are going by ourselves. We aren't sure how much the girls will like a cruise, so we are saying this is our "test cruise" We are sailing on a 3 Night Cruise on the Wish in February and I am super excited and nervous This will be a first for both of us.
So, we will take any and all advice!!! We will get one park day before we get on the boat, I kind i insisted we do that. Hopefully we should be able to do Festival of Arts stuff. I want to do a pre-trip report but I just don't have the time or mental energy right now. Eventually, maybe... cause we are also possibly going to California in July and I will def need a place to run things past you all!
But for now, I am just happy to have a countdown!!! Woo Hoo!!
YAY!!! We'll be celebrating our 20th in 2026, and we're planning to celebrate with a Disney cruise, too!!!It's our 20th wedding anniversary next year. We have talked ALOT about what to do. We finally decided on doing our very first cruise! A Disney one of course!
Woohoo!! I've sailed on 5 cruises (yay! I became a Gold Castaway Club member after the one in March this year) and been on the first four ships. My Mom and I are sailing on the Wish in May 2025 for the first time. I'm excited to see the difference between the Triton class ships and the other four. I am SO excited that you're going on your first cruise!!!So, we will take any and all advice!!! We will get one park day before we get on the boat, I kind i insisted we do that.
Thanks! I can't wait.Congratulations! A perfect way to celebrate your anniversary!
I am not even sure what to ask at this point! I am sure I will eventually. If you have specific questions, I'm happy to pass them on to Scotty and get answers for you.
This is what I was thinking of doing but DH said he wanted to see Bahamas since we both have never been there. BUT we will see if he keeps that once he gets on the ship.My little tip, when you dock in the Bahamas, stay on the ship.
Good to know! I figured it was based on number of cruises you have taken. Also, check in right at midnight so you can be in the first boarding group. This is when we used the pool and aquacoaster (no lines).
you need to have your husband talk to the lady we talked to at Trader Sam's.. She totally sold my DH.So Jealous! I am trying to plan one now and trying to talk my husband into it!
A ship has to be coming back with all the new ships at some point. I would love to do one from up here in the northeast but they come for a very short amount of time. And it's never a good time. We're from the southeast, so it also hurt for them to take them away from New Orleans... that was only a 3 hr. drive from where we live![]()
I def will! I have found the trip reports for cruises are just not the same as disney world. I am sure part of it is that it is just a different.I still have yet to try one so I'm really looking forward to what you think of it.
That is why we are going just the two of us! I looked at Alaska Cruises and there in no way we would ever be able to afford that! And we are going on a short one... cheaper..We loved Disney just not the price.
Fingers crossed that you don't get sea sick! I am worried about that but I have no reason to think that I will get it. But we figure a short trip will work just in case one of us does get sea sick.Ours is this October and we are going on a cruise too. Just on Norwegian instead of Disney. We have been on 3 cruises 2 before kids and one in 2018 with the kids on Disney. The first 2 I was fine then the 3rd I found out I get sea sick. This cruise will be a test to see how I do with taking meds a head of time and having the patch
Great minds think alike!!!YAY!!! We'll be celebrating our 20th in 2026, and we're planning to celebrate with a Disney cruise, too!!!
you are saying words I don't understand... We are going on the wish mostly because it is the time of year we wanted to go. Ha.'m excited to see the difference between the Triton class ships and the other four. I
We didn't ride Dinosaur for so long becuase we had heard it was scary and when we finally rode it we were so suprised how much we enjoyed it.Dennis and Danielle love playing the games in Dinoland, they are really going to miss this. They both also love Dinosaur.
Oh!!! That is good to know. I assume that is something you just find out when you get on the boat? If they do a few of those, Morgan would just do that all cruise.I also love doing the Animator's class!! (They have it on the cruises, too, in case it's something you and Andy enjoy, too!)
Oh!!! Def! Do you have to sign up for those ahead of time or is that a just show up thing? We def will want to do one of those. Also, not that you asked, but for your cruise--you will definitely want to try to attend Mixology or any of the martini, beer, etc. tastings.
I was looking at that! I was also looking at the wine packages. It seems like not too bad of a deal, if we both want to drink wine at dinner. And I think because you like different kinds of beer, the beer mug deal would be another thing you may want to purchase. (I know I'm p
All of the activities (animation, trivia, cooking demonstrations, towel folding, etc. literally hundreds of activities!) are listed in the DCL Navigator app each day of your cruise, or you can pick up a paper copy at Guest Services. The nice thing about the app, is you can "like" your favorite activities and it will send you notifications to remind you before each activity starts, so you don't miss anything you wanted to attend. Once you're booked and have your reservation number, you can download the app and see your cute cruise countdown, too.Oh!!! That is good to know. I assume that is something you just find out when you get on the boat?
The drink tastings have to be booked ahead of time and there is an extra charge that gets added to your onboard account once the activity takes place. So, you don't pay for it at the time of booking. These become available to book when your booking window opens. Since it's your first cruise, yours would be 75 days out from your sail date.Oh!!! Def! Do you have to sign up for those ahead of time or is that a just show up thing?
Definitely worth it! You can also bring on either two bottles of wine (each of you) or a 6 pack of beer each. If you bring your own wine, they will charge an uncorking fee, but I know some people pour it in their room and just bring it to dinner, too, which is also allowed. You just have to ask your room steward for wine glasses.I was looking at that! I was also looking at the wine packages. It seems like not too bad of a deal, if we both want to drink wine at dinner.

I love the countdown! Why don't they do that for Disney World trips?!?! It is so cute!mind you before each activity starts, so you don't miss anything you wanted to attend. Once you're booked and have your reservation number, you can download the app and see your cute cruise countdown, too.![]()
I wasn't sure if it was 2 each or total. Hmmmm, we could bring 4 bottle for a 3 night cruise! I fear I won't remeber this trip! Ha. But seriously... that reminds me that they recommend you bring your own cup on the cruise. What kind do you bring?Definitely worth it! I think I need to start a pretrip report... Andy has already tired of talking about plans. He just likes to show up.
