DS The Pre-schooler 4yo Cant wait to get to Disney to see Mickey, Spongebob & Crash Bandicoot! (think I combined too many Disney & Universal trips?)
MGM Day!
The wake-up call came bright & early at 6:00 am. I truly meant to allow time to rest & relax this morning, but I realized that it was morning EMH at MGM. Relaxing would have to wait until later.
We were shocked when we arrived at the bus stop & noticed it was almost empty! Guess everyone else stayed out late & is resting now. Thats OK, well rest later. Too much to do now. We even got to sit down on the bus! WooHoo! Thats a sure sign that itll be a good day.
After having our bags checks & going through the ticket gates I huddle up the family.
Now look guys. This is by no means a commando style trip. BUT, this is morning EMH. If everyone wants to rest & relax later, we need a plan.
The boys were dying to get on Star Tours. Since the Muppets were near by it only made sense to hit that next. Rock N Roller coaster was down this morning, but you could still get fast passes. So, directly following Muppets I ran to get fast passes while the MagicalDad took the boys back on Star Tours again. The teen & I rode the Tower of terror.
Geesh, OK, now EMH is over. We can slow down a bit & relax. See we just had to run for an hour. I just planned that hour of early morning running in to allow everyone a relaxing day.
Next we headed for the Great Movie ride & then lunch at the ABC Commisary. Both were air conditioned, so I consider it relaxing time.
After eating we headed to One Mans Dream. I loved it. MagicalDad & the Pre-schooler curled up & took nice naps. I was so glad it was dark & the other 2 didnt notice the tears streaming down my face. Oh how I love Mr. Disney. Ive told MagicalDad that if I ever meet any man (& I do mean any man) with the last name Disney Ill probably have to marry him. Then I could finally be MagicalMom Disney. MagicalDad could always be my pool boy or something.
At this point everyone is great anticipating our return to the hotel for a relaxing swim. I glance at my watch. Hmmmmmm, by my calculations, its really not possible at this time. You see we have the fantasmic pkg dinner at Hollywood & Vine scheduled for 4:30pm. There just isnt enough time to return to the room right now.
We head over to Sound Dangerous. I explained over & over to the Pre-schooler that we would sit in the dark for 8 full minutes. He still insisted on entering the studio. I didnt realize until it was over that they all had an alternate motive. When the lights came back on I realized they had all fallen asleep! See, once again I supplied them with cool relaxation.
After seeing Indian Jones it was time to head to dinner. It wasnt too bad. The Youth is a pretty picky eater, but the rest of us have a motto Any food is good food!
Following dinner the family began heading for the gate to return to POR. Wait a minute. There really isnt time to head to the room. See our Fantasmic pkg seating is only guaranteed if we are seated by 8:30. Thats only a few hours away!
The boys really wanted to see Lights, Motor, Action. I on the other had have figured that I have seen enough clips of it on TV to know what its all about. I really dont feel like sitting in the heat to watch cars. I didnt get the 8 minute nap in earlier like the did.
MagicalDad takes the boys & the Teen & I head off to The Little Mermain & the Animation Tour. We meet up later just in time to head to Fantasmic.
Sure, with the Pkg. You get special seating, but what no one tells you is that you have to walk a long, long way to get it. See we have found that standing in one place in line is much more relaxing that walking very, very far.
Fantasmic was great, everyone loved it. I glanced over & noticed MagicalDad had fallen asleep. Gosh, hes relaxing again, just like a promised.
Next up, The plan says we go to the Magic Kingdom!
