The cast
Me MagicalMom 33yo Disney Lover, Commando girl
DH MagicalDad 34yo Likes Disney, just wants to relax
DD The Teen 13yo Loves Disney, I taught her well
DS The Youth 9yo Loves Mickey Mouse thinks Chef Mickeys is the greatest place ever!
DS The Pre-schooler 4yo Cant wait to get to Disney to see Mickey, Spongebob & Crash Bandicoot! (think I combined too many Disney & Universal trips?)
It seems like the rain was never going to let up. We headed back to our room to rest. We honestly tried to rest. The Youth called the Teen a name. At least thats what she said. I didnt hear it. So, you have to understand, since I didnt hear she wasnt just mad that he called her a name, but also because I allowed him to by not correcting him as soon as I heard it. The Teen then called the Youth various names. The Youth responded with more names. What fun!
We turned on the TV. I wanted to watch my favorite Disney show. You know the one where that girl tells you about all the wonderful things you can do. We watched this last night! they complained. I tossed the remote to the Teen. The Youth hated every show she picked.
MagicalDad, well, he can sleep through anything. He didnt even notice a sound.
I gave up. Lets shop!!!! The boat to DTD wasnt operating, so we took the bus.
I want sour Goofy candy! they all exclaimed as soon as we arrived. Hmmm, they all want it. Hmmmmmmm. Now I know its wrong. I know I shouldnt use things like this to hold over their heads. Well see If youre good!
Our First stop was McDonalds. The kids love the big DTD McDonalds. We tried to get in, but couldnt make our way past the crowd of kid in yellow shirts from Brazil. They blocked the entrance. Eventually we squeezed through. I think next I will make us all matching shirts & I will carry a flag. This way we can truly push our way through the parks commando style. All they have to do is follow my flag & run behind me!
MagicalDad went to order & I went to look for a table. There were plenty of empty tables, but all of them were covered in left over trash. It looked like the kids from Brazil had just got up out of their seats & never even attempted to throw a thing out! I promise that when we come as the troop from Delaware we will throw out our own trash!
After dinner we headed to the World Of Disney. Oh how I love this place! I know I had been here just a few days before, but I had to scour every inch of the store again. Looking for just the right items to purchase. I came across an adorable stuffed Mickey. I knew the Pre-Schooler would love him, I surely did. But, the Pre-Schooler had already spent his allotted funds. So had the other kids. I approached MagicalDad with an idea. How about it we give each kid another 25.00. This way they can shop themselves & leave me alone to look at picture frames .err I mean they can shop for more wonderful souvenirs to remember their wonderful magical vacation. Agreed.
The Teen was ecstatic! She ran off to shop. She couldnt find a single thing for 25.00 that she wanted. Everything she wanted cost much more. You have to understand, if I would have offered her 500.00 then the items she would have wanted would have totaled to 525.00. I gave her a few extra bucks to get an I love Carbs pooh shirt because well, I too love carbs.
The Youth looked everywhere. There was nothing he wanted. Off we went with MagicalDad to the Toy Store.
The Youth finally food some wookie blaster that he had to have.
I was ready to go. By this point I was exhausted. Oh yes, the candy. They must have their candy. Fine, get your candy.
It this sugary, sour, powdery stuff that you pour into tubes. They were so excited to pick their flavors & pour their tubes. They quickly ran from flavor to flavor pushing & shoving each other to get just the right mixture of flavor. Yep, just what they needed, sugar.
Oh yeah, I bought a nice, large photo frame & a lithogaph. I had been a very good girl today. MagicalDad bought a new hat.
It really wasnt such a bad evening. Really. Everyone got what they wanted & sometimes, every now & then, the kids posed together for pictures. Smiles & all.
We headed back to our room exhausted & wet from the never ending rain.
Up next, back to Epcot.
