A Relaxing Holiday! Day 15

So we are up extremely early the last 2 mornings, DW says she wants to go back to RPR, as it was very quiet with no doors banging the whole 12 days we where there.
We wait till 9:30 for the manager to call , then decide to go to the front desk to talk to him.
Went to concerige and they bring out a list of recorded complaints from the night before,[sure there was a few from our floor] but there was no record of ours.
She gets the duty manager , Mr John Mera, a very nice man, we told him what had happened the first night and again last night, he apologised, but we said he could not responsible for people staying at the hotel. He was very concerned, as all calls to the Front Desk with complaints no matter how minor must be recorded, and as it was not recorded he did not know to call our room, he also informed us that there is always a night manager on duty , and the receptionist should have got him.He asked was there anything he could do for us and DW said she wanted to go back to the RPR, he said he would call and see , but it was fully booked, but we could move the next day, and we would have to stay there for the night , he said he would make sure there was no repeat of last night. The doors at the rooms here are very heavy , but the door mechanism needs adjusted to allow the doors to close gently, or else there is no point having them, we also discovered that people apparently where smoking at the exit down to the Piazza, they apparently hold the door open, as if it closes you cannot get in it again, then just let it bang closed when they are finished.`
DW wanted to go to craft shops , so I dropped her off at Michaels on the Sand Lake Road, and me and DD went to Sea world. We went to the Clyde and Seymore show,

then went round for Believe,

got soaked again, as we we came out of the Believe show people where going in for the Sesame street show ,

so DD wants to go in, came out and we where heading for another show , and it starts pouring down, so we run for cover , only thing was 2 shelters, it was ok till the wind started getting stronger, the storm looked like it was passing then the wind changed direction and it came back over again, even with the shelter we where soaked, it was still quite heavy and DD and myself decide to goi to the car as we are soaked anyway,[2 visits and 2 soakings at Sea World this year, last year had 2 visits to Sea world and got 2 soakings] think I might give it a miss in future.
Picked up DW and went back to hotel to get changed , not sure where we ate tonight as I did not put it in my notes.Mr Mera also sent us some Fruit and water ,which was very nice.
It was time for bed , and after 2 nights disturbed sleep,we had a good nights sleep.

[2 visits and 2 soakings at Sea World this year, last year had 2 visits to Sea world and got 2 soakings] think I might give it a miss in future.

We feel the same about Kennedy Space Centre. First visit, youngest then 5, got his arm trapped in an automatic door. It moved side ways and took us by surprise when we were waiting for the rest of the family. It hurt that much no scream came out.

Two years later we went back, youngest then 7, got grit in his eye looking at the space shuttle model.

We have not dared another visit yet.

Lovely reports by the way. I felt disappointed for you with your stay in this hotel, the RPR was quiet. We didn't hear anyone and we were opposite an ice machine.

Know what you mean , not sure if i will go to Sea world next year, will need to remember to take a Poncho if we do.
We where looking forward to our stay at PBH, the resort is really nice,and like i said i would not hesitate to go back especially if i got a good rate,and what happened could happen anywhere, but after the second night think we had decided, that we need to get our sleep or we would end up spending our remaining days being tired and grumpy [DW says i am grumpy even with sleep ] with lack of sleep, thats why we asked to go back to RPR.

We didn't hear anyone and we were opposite an ice machine.

Heck, we were NEXT to the ice machine and never heard IT, or the door or anyone .... and yes, I was surprised!

Bet someone got into trouble for not taking the complaints seriously, shame that you have to cut the stay short at PBH but its no use having sleepless nights, I usually find the hospitality center offers shelter and free beer from rain

Must remember that for next year, was soaked through, and just wanted back to get changed.
They sent security, but the manager said all complaints not matter how trivial , must be logged , and he was not very happy that whoever was on did not do it.
