A refund for Eastbound Cruise

I just checked reservations on the DCL site and found the same category cabin for less money. Called them and they told me that I am getting a refund because some taxes went down. Has anyone else had this great news?

WOW that is a nice surprise.. usually the taxes go up & we see some people posting about that... generally less than $10.....

How does this work? Do they reimburse through your TA? Give onboard credit?

About how much are we talking in taxes going down??? Under $100, $50, $25??? Anyone know?? Is it because we are not going to one of the ports that we originally were going to??? That is what I would think would cause taxes and/or port fees to go down.

I have trying all day to pull up my ressie at the DCL site and it keeps telling me that the site is unable to retrieve ressies at this time and to call....I had sent work to my TA to pay the final balance and I wanted to check at DCL's site to see if it was done yet...anyone else having trouble at the site pulling up their ressie?

Can pull up my ressie but I'm not sure if it's showing that I've paid in full (which I have). I would have thought that it would now let me a bit further on the Palo pre-booking section but it just keeps telling me to return at 105, 90 or 75 days depending whether I am concierge, castaway club etc.

Refund is $ 14. and change per passenger . I got a call from Allseas regarding this, and they were putting it back on a card I don't have now - so I called them. Spoke to a nice gentlemen named Mike -- told him to either apply to shipboard credit or to the card I used to pay off the cruise.

Believe it or not - the refund is on Port Charges from PC due to hurricane issues.

I checked the DCL site today - OCD since I have a GTY room - CAT 6 - had the same issue & just hit refresh and I was able to check my reservation

Wow -- talk about timing -- Mike just called me to check on the refund issue and to verify that the old card was the one I used for the deposit

Thanks Disney Elf for the clarification of the charges.....I was able to finally view my ressie but all it says is status BOOKED....

I remember on the old site it would show when you booked, how much you paid, what status you were (deposited for paid in full)...wish this site did that also.
