The idea definetely sounds interesting
I would eat there!

That said, if such an idea were to be pursued it should be done by Disney itself and not a third-party operator such as Rainforest Cafe - especially within the theme parks, but ideally within Downtown Disney as well.
The fact that the restaurant is in a park wouldn't stop Disney from contracting it out.
That's exactly the problem; Disney today wants the safe, easy, lazy way out by just playing landlord.
I always said the same thing! A pirate themed TS would be great. The best location for it would be MK, although I don't know exactly where they would put it. What they should do though is make it a character dinner, and have Jack Sparrow do his skit in there instead of outside. It would be perfect since they already have princess themed dinners, it'd be great for little boys! They could make it dark-tavern like, in a cave? I think it could be a really cool idea if they ever explored it!![]()
If only there were some sort of unused Verandah in Adventureland where a restaurant used to be located - maybe call it the Adventureland Verandah or something - where a new dining facility (Pirates or otherwise) could be located. Oh wait...

I didn't know where to put this, but this forum seemed most likely.
With the limited number of sit down dining options at WDW, they should consider adding a PoC themed restaurant similar to a rainforest cafe.
My kids love T-Rex and Rainforest cafe, I think they would love a PoC restaurant with different sections of the restaurant having scenes from the ride or movies that come to life.
I think it would be awesome. They could even do a Captain Hook section to keep it not to scary for toddlers.
Thoughts?
All I know is I sent guest relations idea for one place and was back sent a letter stating they could NOT use sent in suggestions as that would get into legal matters?????however there is going to be two sit downs and one counter in the the new Mk Story land in 2012. and I agree much needed.

Then where would you put Tink (who currently meets in the Veranda)?
Tinker Bell doesn't belong in Adventureland in the first place.
that doesn't begin to answer the quoted question.
The question doesn't need an answer. It's not like WDW suffers from a space shortage. There are plenty of options -- any number of them would work, unless they want to put Pixie Hollow in World Showcase or something ridiculous like that.
Thats fine, but it appears that poster ( myself included) believe that Tink is fine in the Veranda. These sorts of opinions don't need to be, or deserve to be dismissed with condescension.
Condescension?
"Tinker Bell doesn't belong in Adventureland in the first place" is a direct statement, with no condescension -- and as opinions go it's as valid as any other.
specifically not directly answering a question specifically because you feel it doesn't deserve a full answer , but still going out of your way to tell them they are wrong, is generally considered rude.any sort of dsimissal of an opinon is considered rude.

I think you are misreading what he said.
He says that Tinker Bell doesn't belong in Adventureland. So he believe the currently location isn't appropriate. It is an answer, if not a specific one. It's like saying, "I'll tell you where I wouldn't put her...Adventureland!"
Personally, I think Tinker Bell transcends just Fantasyland, although that's her origins. I will forever remember her in the introductions of the old Disneyland TV show where she acts out EACH land...including Adventureland.
I'm not going to get into a fight with you over the definitions of "condescending" and "rude" and so forth.
If you think you know what I really meant better than I did, so be it -- but I'd rather spend my words on the actual topics here.
Thank you.
I don't disagree that she transcends Fantasy Land -- but putting her in Adventureland strikes me as a "well, we have some space there... so that's where she goes" kind of decision.
so... back to the original question, where would you place her. I think a lot of people's gut reaction is Tinkerbell=Fairy=fantasy=Fantasyland, but Adventureland seems to be appropraite considering that Tink is from Neverland, and Neverland is full of pirates, dangers, and adventue.
but, at the same time the Veranda seems pretty awkward. just my two cents.
