January was so perfect and I hadn't really thought about cruising this year. Still a little bummed over my mid winter break but so glad we'll have the warm weather on our side.​

As much as you don't like cold weather you would love cruising during the winter. Maybe in the future you'll revisit January as a possibility.

I'm definitely planning on rebooking on board. Seems like a no brainer as you can move it as many times as need be. I'm hoping once M sees how much fun Joshua and I had, he'll board the cruise train. He's so anti-cruise but I don't think he fully understands how much fun it can be. I think he's got PTSD from watching The Love Boat in the 70's. He doesn't get that it's not all ventriloquist and glitter. It'll take time but I'm sure he'll warm up to it. He didn't like Disney when we met and just the other day he was saying how he wants to go back to WDW once the new DTD is complete and stay at SSR. I didn't know he knew about the the new DTD but he read about it in USA Today.

Will SAS do transport from the hotel to port too or are they just port/airport airport/port?

They pick up at certain hotels, there's a list on the website. You have to click on a link that's in the middle of the main page. I'm sure it doesn't hurt to ask if yours isnt on the list. Is Holiday Inn one your friends code might work on?

Thanks! I'll have to check that out. No, she only gets Marriott and Hilton discounts. I'll keep checking though to see if our date opens up.

No worries on the hotel. I found a Holiday Inn less than 5 minutes from the airport for $139 that SAS picks up at. The reviews are pretty good so I'll just book that. All the ones I've found for less have some pretty scary reviews. I changed the car rental too so I'm almost all set

I agree, that's a screaming deal. I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn in ages but remember them being nice enough.

No we're 100% for the bar mitzvah. We've got one week. My kippah arrived misspelled and the new ones were supposed to arrive today. Just a minor heart attack. Good thing you and MEK are RNs.

Dinner is set. The cake is set. The luncheon is half way set. But sweet Joshua is ready. ​

Can I just tell you that when I was a 13 year old I attended many bar mitzvahs and I have so many wonderful memories of those events. Such a wonderful, meaningful ceremony (which at the time seemed eternal) and such enjoyable festivities. I hope everything goes off without a hitch!

It's snowing here in Denver. I can't believe its only the 4th of October! I'm not ready for winter!!!! At least I'll be in Florida 2 weeks from today!

You're so sweet, thank you. I'm pretty much having a nervous breakdown right now. Not really but we're to the point where there isn;t much more we can do until about 2 days before. We were going to get a bakery cake but then my bestie's daughter offered to bake his cake. Its really cute. I'll see if I can get one of them to send me a pic. It's so cute and who doesn't love the taste of a homemade cake better than a bakery? Ok, maybe an upscale bakery but I am not spending $250 on a cake which was what I was quoted. I know his bar mitzvah is a once in a lifetime. I also know he's 12 and as long as there is chocolate and chocolate and maybe some candy on top, he'll be happy. Sorry, I'm rambling.....​

Not yet. I got a UPS shipment notification but no kippah. You have no clue what a headache this year every year. I'm not quite sure why. We went with a different compnay this year hoping to alleviate the kippah stress. ​
