Hello everyone we are here at the fort for a quick weekend I arrived yesterday morning about 8:50 and got set up and did my shopping for the day. This morning I went on Disney's the magic behind our steam trains tour at MK. Let me tell you I had a great time even with it being in the 30's. I took a few pics I wanted to share with everyone.

Waiting for the tour to start

Very cool.

I have always wanted to do that tour. I've been a "train person" since I was a little kid.

I took my son on that tour on his 10th birthday because he loves trains so much. It was the best part of his entire trip or so he said. It was definitely a great tour.

I did the Steam Tour several years ago. It was very enjoyable.

Good luck with your run this weekend. I'll want to hear a few details - so lace them up tight and cross the finish line with a smile!

Thanks Bama Ed we were up around 3 this morning and it was a little on the cold side again not as bad as yesterday but still in the 40's. we had a great time at the 10K we only walk and were done walking in 1hour 40 minutes so not too bad for 6.2 miles. The rest of the day is just hanging around the fort and relaxing. Here's a pic of the wife and I waiting to start the race.

Great pics! Looks cold! :cold: Dh took that tour a few years ago - loved it - still talks about it - I opted out!

Once again, glad you rode the camper. And I've made my mind up next time I will be doing the behind the steam tour. Hope yall have a great weekend.

Really nice clear pictures. DH would probably love this tour. Did you get to ride the train into the station after the tour? Good job on the 10K and I noticed your Pirates hat. Hope it kept you warm.

Yes Dan we started at the station and rode the train back to the round house and then rode it back to the main station. And yes the hat helped keep me warm.

Thanks Ryan

How quick the weekend can go when your at the fort. we left last night at 6:25 and was at the house at 7:15 and unloaded. Everything was great all weekend we walked the 10K in a little over a hour and a half. My wife said she might be ready to try a half next so we might be signing up for the wine and dine. I see another weekend trip to the fort in November....yay. Yester day was spent sleeping in and jut relaxing around the fort, a little pool time and sitting on the porch at crockets tavern. I have some more pics to post and will try and get them up tonight when I get home from work.

Thanks Ryan

Appreciate it Ryan, always enjoy when others post pics for us to look at. Train pics looks interesting, I'm gonna have to see if my daughters are interested in doing this our next trip, whenever that is...

Thanks again man,
