I have a reservation at the Grand Floridian at 5pm on tuesday and I am staying at BWV.Can anyone tell me how long it will take to get there using the bus service and if there is one route that is better than another?

The biggest unknown is how long it would take you to actually catch a bus. You'll probably have to take a MK bus, but if you just miss one, you could be standing at the bus stop for 15-20 minutes waiting for the next one.

If you have to take a bus, you probably want to give yourself 45 minutes to be safe.

The trip that would present you with the most control would be if you were to walk from BWV through Epcot to the monorail. You would then take the Epcot monorail to the TTC and transfer to a resort monorail. Assuming you can walk from BWV to the Epcot station in about 15 minutes, you should be able to make the GF in about 30 total.

Another option would be to have the BWV front desk get you a cab. Call ahead and they should be able to arrange something for you with minimal wait.

Another option would be to board the GF bus at MGM. Unfortunately, when traveling resort-to-resort at WDW you really need to allow 1 1/2 hours to be sure of being on time. I wouldn't allow less than an hour. If you were to take a cab, it would take between 15-20 minutes tops.

I agree with PamOKW.
Go to MGM and take the Grand Foridian bus.

When I was at BWV last week, the bus to Magic Kingdom took a very long time, stopping at so many other hotels...plus, you then would need to get the monorail (or bus) to the Grand Floridian.

I did the Tea Party with DD Presidents weekend, and took the MK bus to get there, and then took the boat directly to GF. It was nice.

And then second time, I missed the MK Bus, (You need 1 hour start to finish), so ended up cabing it. It was $15 tops, but if you need it quickly, worth it.

I agree with Pam and Mzzbuzz and think your best bet is to catch the GF bus at MGM.

Just so there's no confusion, we all mean to walk to MGM and catch the bus. We don't mean to catch a bus at BWV to go to MGM.

Once at MGM just catch the GF bus.

From your room at BWV exit your room and go to the far end of the building (not the lobby end), and exit there. Then follow the path to MGM and it's busses.

The walk from the rear door of BWV to the busses at MGM is probably only about 10 minutes.

If you don't have a car, just take a cab, you'll be glad you did. It could easily take 1.5 hours OR MORE. You'll be hot and tired. So unless you're planning on being at MK anyway, I don't think the bus is a good option. Afterwards, you'll have more time and it won't matter as much if it takes you a while on the return leg.

I'd agree the best bus option is likely MGM to GF and back. Does the MK bus from BW go to the TTC now or direct to MK, either way, it's a good alternative then monorail it form MK or walk to he Poly and monorail from there.

If you are starting from MK, I would take Goldilocks suggestion of using the boat over to the GF.
