I was wondering..If you have 250 points at OKW and want to stay at SSR, as long as you have enough points you just get on the waiting list? Or would I need to pay extra since its not my home resort? If you need 250 points for a week you can use it anywhere..even though your home resort is not worth the same amount as the other hotel?

There is no fee to book at other DVC resorts. There is a "home resort" booking window. Since I own at OKW, I can book my room 11 months prior to departure date. If I wanted to saty at SSR, I could book the room 7 months prior to departure date, assuming there is a room available.

as far as a waiting list - it depends upon the days you want - you can probably get SSR immediately without going on a waiting list.

In any case, you have to go by the point chart for the resort where you will be staying, not by the point chart of where you own.
