ok for christmas I was thinking about making shirts for my best friends(about 6 or 7) and I heard about this paper that you can print stuff off of the computer and iron it on shirts and make shirts

does anyone know if that is true? if so, does anyone know where to buy it or how much it cost?

thank you soooo much for helping me if you have ANY clue what I am talking about! :)

Oh, that's easy. Go to any hobby store. It's with the fabric paints and tons of other cool ideas to do with fabric. It's not very expensive either. I don't know the exact cost, but I am pretty sure it's less than $5 for a package.

I've used supplies from http://www.transfertechnology.com/ . The transtech inkjet transfer paper is what I've used and I have shirts that have lasted for a long time. I haven't tried the new paper that will transfer on to colors but would like to sometime.

I have a special ironing press I use to make shirts and that really makes it easy. You can do them with an iron but it can be a little harder.

You can also find this at office supply stores such as Office Max and Office Depot. I saw some at Office Max just last week. Look in the section where they have photo paper, business cards for inkjets, greeting cards for inkjets, etc.

Be careful of many of the brands sold in stores. I haven't found any that transfer easy and hold up well. My sister made 50 shirts for a family reunion and we used different papers. Only the one brand stayed intact after washing.

I bought some to iron on some stuff for my kids. It didn't turn out very well.:( I think I bought a box of 20-25 transfers for about $10 at Walmart. I'm thinking special ink for your printer might need to be used to get the desired result.

Shannon, check the link I have in the post above. I've used their paper and have had good results. I do use a special iron and that helps but it really is more the paper than the ink.

It does depend on your printer which paper they say will work best. This works well for Epson, Canon and Lexmark. Not as good with HP but I think their new paper might work better.

I've done calendars, photo albums, magnets, transfer iron-ons with them.

Jules,

You should have asked me!!! Teresa used it for the Blaze. we can call her and find out what she used. It was really cute!:D

Are you making me a shirt, too?:p

The quality of the paper here makes ALL the difference. I got mine at Office Depot. Kinkos will copy it onto the paper for you too, if it doesn't work in your computer.
