A question inspired by the rides thread (ToT)

Still, the deaths at Disney are certainly not Disney's fault. It is solely the person's fault.

i just want to try to ride about every ride there in WDW.. except Rocknrollercoaster and Misssion Space b/c ppl died on it....

I'm sorry if this sounds kind of mean, but I think that is the worst excuse anyone can give.

Rock 'n' Roller coaster and Mission: Space operate from park opening to park closing every day and each have been running for well over a year. There have been two deaths of people after riding the attraction but that was not the attraction's fault.

Unless the warning signs apply to you, the ride is perfectly okay. To say you won't ride because there have been deaths implies a lot of things...does this mean you won't get in a car? People have died from car accidents. Do you refuse to walk, ride a bike, or ever even leave your house? Every day of your life you take risks just by walking out your door...these attractions are very safe, and even safer than getting into your own car.

This is one of the only rides that have a well themed line, and the ride itself is themed. It's always been one of my favorites, but I could see how some people don't like it because of the drops.

Not everybody happens to have parents who will just let you stand outside alone. My parents have forced me on several rides, & there's no way out. My parents won't let me stand alone outside waiting, but when everyone wants to go, you have no other choice. It's like truth or dare with my dad. You get three chicken outs. So say I don't get on three rides, then he's going to make me go on one. And i don't dare argue with my father at Disney, he's angered easily, and I just want him to have a good time, there's no point in seeking and argument.
I had to go on Dinosauar. Yes, I closed me eyes for the whole ride, but I heard A LOT of screaming!

Also, people can die breathing...carbon monoxide. That doesn't mean people should refrain from breathing simply because people have died from it.

I think the best arguement is people die. it happens. Theres no real way to stop it. Everyone one is going to die sooner or later. avoiding something simply because people die doing it doesn't mean you're not going to die.

my motto-people only scream on a good ride. I mean. You may hear cries for help coming off its a small world, but for real "ohmigodimadie" screams, go to TOT. I don't even scream on it. I laugh. I actually ride it for teh pictures sometimes. I'll pretend to be asleep or make an exagerated scared face or read a book. I've seen a couple people buy the picture, that tehy weren't even in, because they were laughing at me. :teeth:

lol...last October my husband, brother & I were on the ride & my husband and brother thought they were so funny making faces and acting stupid. I was totally embarrased and scared of the ride. After we got off there was a couple who bought the picture because they couldn't stop laughing at the faces my hubby and brother were making.
