It is for me! Im 33 and it seems as Im getting older its getting worse and worse. I dont ever remember being this moody.
I feel incredibly angry one minute and then Im crying the next. I feel emotionally horrible during PMS and physically not much better.
It was never like this when I was younger.
Anyone else get crazy?

I thought it was a lie or an excuse for women to be mean and *****ie but after the birth of my first child I started getting it too and nine years later after the birth of my 2nd child it is all most gone. I don't know what caused it but I am glad it's gone. I would feel really yukie , mean , and sad when I had it.:D

Yes, I just turned 30 and it is getting horrible! Also, I have started having hot flashes.. HELLO! What is that all about??

if you think it is bad now, allicat, just wait, I am 45 and it is the worst it has ever been. I can be happy one minute, sad another and I can't stand myself when that happens. My gyn tested me to see if I was peri menopausal (sp) but Nooooooooooooo, I am not even close yet.

Some months are easier than others. But mine was so easy when I was a teenager I thought all the other girls were just trying to cut school. lol

It's not so easy anymore, but it hasn't gotten worse for quite a while.

Besides, pretty much a Snickers or a Frosty takes care of it. Seriously. Or maybe I'd better ask my family. lol:crazy:

Ever since I had my children, it's gotten worse.

It has gotten incredibly bad! I am such a b****h at times I even hate myself! Hot flashes are so bad, especially at night. I wake up covered in sweat!! I have been tested and am definately peri-menapause (I'm 44). I just wish the whole thing was totally over already.

Most definitely worse over the years.

Do you mind if I ask how they test for peri-menipause? I'm 41 and was so horrible to my SO this weekend, when I finally came out of it, I thought I must be going crazy. Who was that person?

It happens about a week out of every month, with some months being almost normal and others like this awful person took over my emotions with no way to control them. It was also a full moon this weekend, and I wonder if that makes it worse.

A friend's gyn gave her a new drug for PMS called serafem (sp?). It's actually a form of an antidepressent. She said it has worked wonders.

WHY DO YOU ASK????? DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT????

just kidding! :)

I'll be 43 on the 29th and it's gotten MUCH worse in the last few years. Not so much pain wise - but more emotional. Plus, I am hungry ALL THE TIME and have put on a lot of weight.

Blah, blah, blah...off to jazzercise tomorrow to huff & puff my way through a class full of 20 & 30 year olds who actually look good in spandex. booooooo... I'll be the old fat lady in the back row! :)

DebbieB.....sarefem is just a pink version of prozac. Been there - done that - didn't help much. I am on Wellbutrin now and it's much better. You may want to mention to your friend - something that the drs don't - antidepressants like that can actually cause weight gain. I put on 40 lbs (!!) when on prozac without changing my eating habits. Not so good when my weight was part of the reason why I was down in the first place!!!

Most definately. I'm 36 and have gotten sooooo moody. I was never like that, only within the last few years. I really hate feeling like that. I dont want to go on any antidepressants, although I probablly could use them  Atleast I havent been having the hot flashes....yet.

Yeah...who wants to know???

Bahahaha
Mine has gotten worse with each childbirth, Dr. finally put me on Zoloft which really helps if I remember to take it....duh...that's why I have three kids to begin with...hahaha

Yes, it does get worse.

Wow! Im glad to know Im not the only one!
I was so mean and cranky this afternoon and now I feel just fine!
Just like Jekyll & Hyde! Poor DH got the brunt of it and he's so good about it too!

YES!

I dont knwo if its age of 3 kids though. I am a "total menestrual case" as the commercial says it ;)

But then there can be those tender, moving moments that bring you to tears.

Then, after a good cry, you are happy as a clam and feel like you can take on the WORLD!!!

Then of course there are those paranoid moments when you know the world is out to get you and only you!

But getting worse? Who knows? Isn't everybody like this?!?

Yes, the whole thing is getting worse. The PMS, the actual time itself. I'm not liking it!

Yes it has "all" gotten worse. It started with a major "shift" change when I was 33. I am now 37. The doctor claims I am not going through peri menopause but I beg to differ.

The good side benefits of pms freaks my SO out the older I get.;) I don't I've gotten grumpier the older I get with pms, but I tend to get very tired during pms.
