A question for those wh saw the Sci-Fi Series "Taken"???

Is it worth buying when it comes out on dvd this Oct.????
I missed the series when it came out last Dec while on vacation and was wondering from those who watchedif it is worth buying??? It will be released this Oct on dvd and will retail for around $90.
I love science fiction movies so was wondering what people thought of this series and if it would be worth the money, the dvd set is supposed to contain 6 dvd's.

Well I saw it and did like it BUT I would not pay $90 for it. $30, ok but $90 are they kidding? I mean even Star Wars Trilogy isn't THAT much. In fact the FOTR collection I have wasn't $90 and that has 4 cds.
The movie itself is a little on the cheesy side.

SciFi network is going to show it again [in august I believe], so you may not have to buy it.

If it is on tv, i will try to watch it(hopefully not in early august as i again will be on vaction for a short time)???

I tried to watch it when it first came on, but the first several episodes were so slow that the grass growing in my front yard kept diverting my attention. I understand it picked up a bit later on.

It was a REALLY good series (although I thought it was slightly anticlimatic) but as said I wouldn't pay $90 for it. That's pretty insane. Even when you buy a whole season of shows like Friends that's only like $50.

I would try to catch it again when it comes on in August. If that's when you'll be gone, try to find someone to record it for you.

It is a very good series that we really enjoyed. It was well written and had decent acting. There are no really great special effects but the show is very very good overall.

We taped it when it was first aired. We may end buying this collection when it comes out in Oct to get it on DVD. There is so much coming out that it is hard to select at times. I still have not watch the third season of Buffy yet and we just got the Fourth season.
