Can you use exterior paint indoors? I don't want to paint rooms with it, just an entry hallway leading to the basement. I'm going to finish painting the garage this weekend, and a side door leading outside, and since I won't be using all of it and I know I'm not going to use all of it. One reason I'm thinking of using that paint for the hall, is that it's Behr's Ultra-Bright (I think that's the name) and I'm using it for the sidedoor that opens into that hallway...so it'll match. So can I use the exterior paint indoors, or should I just get the interior paint? Thank, CCT

I may be wrong but I think the only would issue would be the smell.

From my expereince outdoor paint is stronger in smell.

I think you could get away with it. just make sure the area is well ventilated.

*edited* Thanks binny, I guess we posted at the same time. I may go a head and get the indoor paint, it's only a gallon, but I did want some advice.

I have used exterior paint indoors without a problem. I would recommend using it rather than have two partial gallons laying around.
