How do you put a signature in e-mail? I went into "tools", "options", "signatures", and I did type a test message in, but it shows up right under the e-mail message when I send it. Know what I mean? I thought there'd be an automatic space or line or something between the sig and the e-mail message...I guess that's up to me to do?? Also, I thought I'd be able to set the font, color, etc, for the signature.

AND...can I put clipart in my e-mail signature? I was thinking along the lines of the flag at half-staff or something similar. And it looks like I either have text or a file...??

Any and all help appreciated. :D :D :D

What e-mail client are you using?

Does "Outlook Express" answer that question?

I know you can do it with Outlook within Outlook quite easily. With Express, you need to create a seperate HTML file and select that file as your signature. It's not a simple process. The image would have to be uploaded to the internet just like clipart here does and the HTML file must be formatted correctly to show the way you want it to in the mail message.

<font color=navy>Mare,

I've added different sigs to my email using Outlook and what I do is choose 'none' for automatic signature. When I do send a note I then choose the siggy for that day.

Right now, however, I do have an automatic signature that comes up - the following:

Mary Jo

"...'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away."

When I click on a new message, the signature automatically comes up, and I click above it to enter my message. If the problem you're having is that you have to move the signature down to type your message, then what you want to do is go back into your tools/options/ email options/signature picker & edit the particular signature you want to change. Add a line space or two above it. The next time you create a new email you should have the proper spacing for your message.

Oh, and you can definitely change your font, etc., when you edit your signature.

Does that help any?

I'm not sure...I'm too brain-dead tonight to try, but I'll look at it in the AM. Thanks MaryJo! :D
