a question for the girls

hi,now before we start i want you to understand this question is for my DD and not ME
how do you get on at security with your make-up? does it need to be in less than 100mil containers and in ziplocks or can you take it through as normal.
shes wondering about things like creams,eye shadow lippy etc.
hope this makes sence to you any advice welcomed as shes giving me a headache

It needs to be in a plastic bag and as long as it is under 100ml you will be fine!

Just noticed our countdowns the same. When and where are you flying from? We are going from Gatwick on the 8th November with VA at 11.15

It has to be in a clear bag no more than 8" x 8" and the bag must close

All containers must be less than 100mls - you must put all make up in the bag. Most things are under the 100mls so you will be ok.

she no longer carries any of it on board with her.

I assume if it goes in the main suitcase in the hold then it doesn't matter about size and quantity, it's only if it goes in hand luggage that the rules apply, am I correct?

Yes, doesn't matter what make-up you put into your suitcase that is checked-in... just what is in your hand luggage.

we should be on the same flight but were flying to London with air lingus and there is a problem with the pilots at the moment that may result in industrial action so were looking at alternatives. After 2yrs of careful planning something had to happen but hey well be there one way or another

hopefully thats the way it will work out.The two sides are in talks today so were waiting for any news.As my DD said if we have to walk we'll be at gatwick for the flight
