A Question for Howard Stern Fans

I listened to Howard until he moved to Sirius (I have XM). Recently, with the merger of XM and Sirius I again can listen to Howard and company.

I was surprised to hear that the format was much the same as before (news with Robin, etc). I was also pleasantly surprised that Howard does not curse near as much as I was expecting (he even said on a show last week that people who curse all the time do so due to a poor vocabulary).

My question: are Howard's parents still alive?

Did Scott the Engineer make the transition?

What happen to Stuttering John?

Any information to get me up to speed would be appreciate (I do know that Howard recently wed Beth).

Scott the engineer is still there.

Stuttering John moved to California to be on the Jay Lenno show. He does the introductions I think.

Arty is currently trying to battle his drug/alcohol addiction and just released a new book.

I have been debating about whether to read Arty's book.

Very interesting about Stuttering John. I guess I must watch Leno tonight to hear how he sounds.

I heard Howard refer to a Scott, but I did not think it was refering to the Engineer.

Robin was dating Jim Florentine for about a year but they broke up over the summer. She's dating a younger man now. Good for her.

I love Howard's parents. They are so funny.

When they first moved over to satellite everyone was cursing a mile a minute. F this F that! Then I think H issued an edict that occasional cursing was fine but not every other word. Funny H censoring his own show.


I think that is how I remember it …well anyway…..F Jackie’s cat!!!!

As to the cursing: I can imagine that with his 'freedom' Howard and the Gang cursed up a storm at first. However, Howard is intelligent enough to know that people will not turn in to listen to cursing. I can get that at home. Yesterday I listened to some "Bubba" show (that was part of the name, on one of the Howard channels) and all they did was curse for 5 minutes before I switched out. I shall not switch back.

I like that they replay the show all day. I also like the 'wrap up' show.

I do like to hear Robin do the news. And, as always, Howard can take a guest I would not otherwise care about (usually some rapper or such) and yet get them to reveal things that, afterwards, they probably wished they did not say.

he recently interviewed Maureen McCormick (sp) Marsha from the brady bunch. and boy did she talk.... nothing that was not in the book, probably.

That "Bubba" person you speak of is Bubba the Love Sponge. He is VERY popular with the men, though I enjoy him. He was on regular radio years ago, till he was thrown off. Now he is part of Howards crew. If you dont like cursing, steer clear.

Howard did tone down the f bombs, he read an e-mail from someone who was pointing out to them they were using too many.

Beth is gorgeous BTW!

I love Beetlejuice, but can not stand Eric the midget. For a while he was on the phone with him a lot and I couldn't take it.
