A question for anyone who knows the Ft. Lauderdale Airport

I hope it's OK to ask this here. DD and I are going to WDW in August. After a week, she's going to fly from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale to meet up with DH and go scuba diving in the Keys for a few days. His group is flying in on Continental. She will land in Terminal 1, Concourse B about 20 minutes before he lands in Terminal 1, Concourse C. Do both Concourses have separate security? I guess they will need to meet in the baggage claim area, are the two close to each other? At least it's the same terminal. DD is 14 but has never traveled alone. Thanks for any help!

I've only flown in and out of FLL a couple of times, and it's been under construction, so things may have changed, but here is a link to a map of the terminals/concourses. Hope it helps. It looks like it will be pretty easy for them to meet up between the two concourses.
