Is this something that could be done pregnant?

not hugely pregnant ... but 2nd trimester pregnant?

I'm thinking that balance/center of gravity could be an issue

what do you think?

I am pretty sure that will be a no-go.
My DH fell off to the side of his when he was trying to get his balance (he is about 6'3") and I read about a lot of people running into things while they are on.
Maybe you will have something to look forward to on your next trip. W/ the tour/classes being so early maybe you could leave DH w/ baby in the room and meet them when Epcot opens.
Good luck w/ the pregnancy.

I would think its okay as long as your balance is pretty good otherwise. You have an hour of practice before they take you out to the WS. We got the hang of it within ten minutes. After that, it was completely intuitive. The trainers are very attentive during the training and walk along side you, etc. Safety is their first priority and if they thought you might have trouble, I'm sure they'd advise against going on with the tour.

No one in our group had any difficulty at all (we were the oldest in the group), ran into anything or fell off. I would bet many men's middles are bigger than a second trimester pregnancy and they seem to do just fine. :) Its a really fun tour!

They ask if anyone is pregnant. I think its a no go with the rules. It would put DIsney at a huge liable risk.

I would say it is too risky for you to do.

I just booked this for Lynn and Kathi and it said that no pregnant or disabled persons - sorry.

I would not take the chance. When we did the tour in April there was a lady on the tour with us that hit the wall in China. The handle bar then bounced back into her knocking the wind out of her and knocking her off the Segway. IMHO I don't think it is worth the risk to do the Segway Tour while pregnant.

I don't think you would be allowed to. When I booked it they said no one over 250lbs and then asked about pregnancy. Besides running into things, you also are standing on the Segway for at least an hour as you go around the World Showcase. We had a lady with us who was proably in her mid 50's who we didn't think was going to make it. She said the back of her legs really hurt. If you're pregnant and your feet are swelling any, you could be mighty uncomfortable before you get all the way around World Showcase. Of course this is the same lady that got to leaning too far forward on her Segway, got to going too fast, then panicked when the Segway started leaning back into her to make her slow down, and then jumped off. She also almost got knocked off as we went under a tree in China.
