A question about Raglan Rd in DTD?

I have heard good things about this restaurant and pub. I made reservations for dinner at 8 PM but I am now wondering if this is a good place for children. We'll have 4 with us and I don't want to subject them to drunks.

Opinions please?

I think it's a great place for kids, tho I've only been there with my dh. But at 8 pm there is a band, and Irish band so family friendly, and an Irish dancer. There were no drunks that I saw of. And it's huge & noisy. So I would take my kids in a heartbeat as there is plenty to entertainment, it's loud (so no one will notice your kid's noise), and the food is delish.

I am guessing your children are older since you are starting a meal at 8pm.

We see plenty of kids when we dine at Raglan Road, and we usually make reservations for about 8:30 so that we're there while the band is playing.

As others have mentioned, it is a pretty loud place but lots of fun. And since it is a bar, you should be prepared to potentially see some tipsy and inebriated guests. The later the evening gets the more likely this is - we've certainly seen tipsy guests and I guarantee you that we've been tipsy guests. But we've never seen anyone out of control or obnoxious.
