If you already have an existing reservation, and you have points in holding, can you switch those points at the 60 day mark? This may not be clear, but what I mean is: I have a ressie at VB in March. I also have 137 points in holding. At the 60 day mark in January, can I call and switch those holding points to my VB ressie and bank the others that I used to make the ressie? It doesn't look like I will be able to use the holding points for other times, and they expire in April.

Most likely, you won't be able to just reallocate the points in the manner you suggest. If there is no wait list for your dates, you can use the Holding Account points, but otherwise the waitlisted members will have priority for those dates.

Basically, you will need to make a new reservation using the Holding Account points and cancel the original reservation. If there is no wait list, you'll get your same dates back with the new reservation.

You may want to try to rent the holding points if you won't otherwise be able to use them.

Good luck!

Thanks, Doc. What you stated is what I was afraid of, and I probably won't be able to do that at Vero since it will be premier season. I hadn't thought about renting them out, however. thanks for the suggestion.

Let me add that if the ANY of the days are available, you can essentially substitute the points. Technically it's a new reservation but the effect is the same. Bu the days do have to be available for new reservations. Remember you can do a wait list and as long as you're outside the 30 day window, you would have the same options.
