If you are staying offsite & plan to have a meal at a resort (like Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary) how does parking work?
Do all the resorts have a guard?
Do you have to pay to park?
How long can you stay in the parking lot (like if you want to try to watch fireworks after dinner)?
Not sure if this is the right forum so if I need to post on restaurants or resorts, let me know!
Thanks!

If you have a PS at Chef Mickey's, you just tell the guard at the gate and he will give you a parking pass. The pass is usually good for a few hours. You won't have to pay for it.

I know all the deluxes and I think all the mods have guards. I don't know about the values.

You'll get a 3 hour pass especially in the morning. They will just ask you why you are there.

ALL WDW resorts have a guard. Actually I think the All Stars were the first to have one!

At any rate, yes, you will get a three hour parking permit, and they can and do tow those who overstay. If you think you'll be more than three hours, park at the TTC (you will have to pay to park there) and take the monorail over. CHeaper than paying for a tow!

There's simly not enough parking to accomodate everyone who wants to eat at a WDW resort then see fireworks afterwards.

If you have an AP you can park in the theme parks for free. If you pay to park in one park you can show your receipt and park in the other parks for no extra charge.
