a question about old tickets

In a fit of optimism we bought those never-expire tickets during a trip many years ago; ten days each of WDW admissions, and 10 extras (waterparks, etc.). On the trip with me was dh, ds, and 2 dgks. Well, dh, ds and I have used up our tickets, but we actually never got around to taking those 2 dgks again, so their tickets have just sat there in the drawer. They were child tickets. Now those dgks are 15 and 13, and we'd like to take them again. Is there a way to trade in their tickets and upgrade them to adult ones, which they'd need now? Will we need to also upgrade all 10 extra tickets, which we'll probably never use? Has anyone solved this kind of challenge before? Thanks!

1. Is there a way to trade in their tickets and upgrade them to adult ones, which they'd need now?

2. Will we need to also upgrade all 10 extra tickets, which we'll probably never use?

3. Has anyone solved this kind of challenge before? Thanks!

1. Yes. It's free.
Take the tickets and the (former) kids to any ticket booth or Guest Relations.

2. The Water Park and more options will automatically upgrade at the same time. All free.

3. Thousands have. It's easy.

Bless you. But to clarify: are you saying that it's totally free, or that we'll need to pay the difference between kid and adult prices?

What you were not clear on is if these tickets were PARTIALLY USED on that trip
by the (then) kids.

If they WERE partly used and you want to upgrade the assets left
on these tickets, the upgrade will be completely free.

Disney does not penalize kids for growing up.

If these tickets were NEVER used, you would have to pay the difference
between what you paid for the child tickets long ago
(Disney will know that info) and what an adult ticket of the same kind costs today.

But, I took your description to mean that you had used part of these tickets
and were just trying to upgrade the remainder of the assets...
which, again, is completely free.
