A question about Mythos

I was looking over the Mythos menu and several things caught my eye. I know a lot of you have eaten there and I was wondering what your favorites were. I've never eaten there, but on my up coming trip I'm definitely going! The balsamic chicken, risotto of the day and the Asian pad Thai was my top three choices by just looking at the menu, but I was wondering what you, the 'regulars', ususally ordered.

We go at lunch, share the wrap of the day or the cowboy burger. That way we save room for desert and it doesn't knock us out.
If each person orders a meal and chows down, you'll be tired and most likely have to go back to the room.
Walking out of Mythos is like walking out of a movie theater. It's a surreal experience after sitting in front of the big window for a couple hours.

Well actually since I am staying on site, I was thinking of eating a larger meal at lunch time, going back to the hotel for a few hours for some rest and maybe a nap. Then eating a light dinner and head back to the parks (they will be open until 10:00 when I'll be there). I really don't care much for burgers or sandwiches, especially when I'm eating at a nicer restaurant.

The balsamic chicken is awesome!! Definitely try that. I am already planning at least one lunch (maybe two?) at Mythos for our upcoming visit.

Another park restaurant we like is Lombard's in USF. Very good seafood and a great atmosphere. Let the "tourists" go to Mel's and gag on a burger :lmao: .

If you're going back to the hotel room for a nap, that works out great because you can take leftovers in a box.
Risotto of the day is a good idea. A salad could be another, they look like mountains. After you sit down, look around and something will catch your eye.
If you'll notice, they don't have many sea food choices. That's because people put such a high expectation on it. I wouldn't try sea food on the trip unless it's something very simple.

I've had some WONDERFUL seafood at Mythos---the Corvina, salmon, and scallops were all great!!!:cheer2:
I've also had good seafood at Lombard's Landing in US.

The rissoto and the pasta of the day change on a regular basis so ask your server for the details on both. watch the kitchen area and what the food runners are taking to the tables and ask your server what those items are.
My favorite servers are Ellen, Robert, John, Bonnie, Kitty, Disa. They all explain the menu and if there is something new with the rissoto or pasta they usually have tried it before hand to better explain it to the guests. :cool2:

Thanks for the menu ideas! And also thanks for telling me about Lombard's Landing, I love seafood!

IMO, stay clear of the pad thai. I LOVE pad thai and the one at Mythos was only so so. Go with the risotto if you're going to take a nap anyway. You can never go wrong with risotto.
