A question about MK rope drop

So I love the rope drop thing, and how much I can get done before the crowds show up. But this coming trip I'm trying something different and we'll be eating breakfast at 8:10am at CP. If we're done eating within the hour, will we encounter huge crowds, if the park is opening at nine, or will we still be okay staying ahead of most of the folks?

TS meal generally run 60-70 minutes. If you sit down to eat on time, you should see light crowds for a few more minutes after you are done. Last time we were at MK rope drop, it took 45 minutes or so for folks to really start piling in. We were in Fantasyland. When they showed up, they went mostly to Dumbo or Peter Pan first, the other rides in the area took longer to crowd.

We did a 8:05 CP and had no problems being done with plenty of time to get a bunch of pics with the photopass photographers in an empty area in front of the castle and still make it over to TL for ropedrop. But my kids are older, and we didn't get to see Tigger (saw all the other characters), so if yours are younger, or will desperately want to see each character, or you like to linger over the meal, then you may miss ropedrop. We did it primarily to get the pictures of the empty park!

This will be so awesome if we have a similar experience! Thanks for sharing:goodvibes
Okay, I know I'm a dork...but what does TL stand for?

We have done CP 805am x2: busy season and non busy season. we were out of Cp in plenty of time- saw all the characters. I would reccommned asking for the check long before you are done though- that takes a while for some reason. There are small crowds at the rope drops within the park ( at tomorrow land and fanstasyland)

Excellent idea! Thanks:thumbsup2

We're doing CP 8:10 am next week. We plan on asking for the check when we sit down. I can't imagine us taking an hour to eat but we may end up missing a character. I don't think my 2 year old will know the difference but we'll see.

Yeah, TL was Tomorrowland - sorry! That's going to change for this summer at least anyways.

The problem we ran into was that it was just about time for Tigger to come to our table (he was like 2 away), when they began the "Pooh-rade" and all the characters and most of the younger kids went to participate in that. So we knew if we waited for that to end and the characters to come back, we wouldn't make RD so we watched a few minutes of the parade and headed out! Here's my oldest son's face when we asked him if it was okay if we didn't see Pooh:

And yes, I'm totally diverting this thread! :rolleyes1

A different question I asked that I may have to ask again because I haven't gotten the answer to is if they clear the restaurant between breakfast and lunch. I'm hoping this time to make the latest breakfast time so my son can have the made-to-order omelets which he loved last time, but hang out long enough for the lunch menu which we'd actually prefer. Anyone been able to do this? Thanks!
