A question about fixed price package meals and children

I would like to book some of the fixed price meals including dinner @ Akershus and the Fantasmic Dinner Package at the Brown Derby.

However, my 14 year old daughter really doesn't eat very much and would much rather choose something from the kid's menu. She does not have any medical condition, she just prefers pasta and tomato sauce type stuff. We won't bother with the dining plan and so will be paying with cash. At an ordinary restaurant am I right in thinking that we can just choose a smaller meal from the kid's menu even though she is over the age limit?

Do you know whether she can also go for the kid's menu on one of fixed price meals? Does it make a difference if it is a buffet or not. I not want to pay for an adult meal ($11 versus $37 for the Fantasmic Package) when the difference in price is large. Neither do I want my DD to be intimidated by platefuls of food that she will feel guilty wasting.

Do you have any experience of this problem?

If it's a fixed price, she will pay whether she eats a piece of pizza or a steak, doesn't matter. There is no way around it unfortunately when you pay per person rather than for what you order. Since she is 14, she will be charged as an adult for any fixed price meal, including a fixed price buffet like Chef Mickeys. Sorry! With the 2 you mentioned, you are really paying for the guaranteed seat at Fantasmic and the characters at Akershus, not necessarily the food that is consumed.
