~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

Heh - you duped me, too! But, congrats on booking your Alaska trip!

And sorry to hear you still don't know what's going on with Connor - but it sounds like he was a trooper for the tests.

Good luck surviving soccer season and a new class! Ds has decided he doesn't want to do team sports right now, which frankly is fine with me, after the chaos of soccer and flag football (2 different years, not at the same time. Some kids on his ff team did do both - I thought that was insane!). At least activities you can schedule, rather than being at the whim of the coach's schedule. Now I just need to survive Spring Break. Ds is here at our new office, until Grandma comes by to take him and his cousins to Horton Hears a Who...

Completely understand about the spring break thing. I've had the older two home the past two days and will on Monday as well.

We lived in Fairbanks for 8 years. My dad was stationed at Eielson Airforce Base.

I do remember you mentioning that you'd lived in Alaska and that your dad was military. Cool!

I'm going out again tonight :woohoo: Two weeks in a row is rare for me (heck - two times in two months is rare for me!). The rest of the weekend is crazy busy, but I'll get something out for the PTR early next week :thumbsup2
Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Have fun tonight! Happy Easter to you and your family, too!

Looking forward to reading the next installment of your PTR!

Hey Carissa! I just wanted to let you know that I finally had a chance to make it over here and I'm planning on spending a good part of the day reading through everything! I've had the flu all this past week and the one good thing that came out of it was that I've been tied up in bed and I finally have time for non-stop Dis'ing! :lmao: I'm going to go read your last TR now and since it's closed I'll come back here to reply, and then I'll read through this thread. I'm actually really excited! I'm excited about sitting in bed all day and reading about a stranger's trip to Disney... that's the epitome of true Disney geekdom :rotfl: Well, off I go... :goodvibes

Hey Carissa, hope you all had a nice Easter. We had a really fun one, it was nice as usual:goodvibes

Looking forward to another installment!

Sorry to hear you're sick, but glad you're getting time to enjoy some TR/PTR reading! :)

Yes, we had a very nice Easter, thanks :)

I may need to take a bit of a hiatus from my PTR. I just have so much going on right now. The older two boys start soccer tonight, with practice at least two nights a week and games on Saturdays. I have my school work. On Friday a good friend of mine is coming for the weekend to help me celebrate my birthday.

Next Tuesday Connor has another appointment and I'm going to discuss the possibility of him having Asperger's. I've been talking to a few people about it and he does have a lot of the characteristics (remember, he's my "difficult" child?). There's also been a lot of research done and there seems to be a correlation between Autism and constipation. Since we can't seem to find a reason for his problems, it's time to start looking at other avenues.

So, all that to say I have a lot on my plate right now and don't want to leave you all hanging. I will still check in and post updates here and there - such as when we take our first camping trip of the year and to report how it goes (but again, not sure when that's going to happen now since we have soccer on Saturday mornings so that messes with my plans).

I'll still be around checking in on everyone's TR/PTR's so you'll see me. :) As always, thanks for reading. :grouphug:

totally understand. will miss you here but will happy to see you when u pop in.

Carissa, I totally understand! I hope you get things figured out with conner.

Completely understandable! I look forward to seeing you around, though. I sure hope the Dr's can figure out Conner's issue with the constipation. Have fun with soccer! DS just started too. We have our 2nd game tomorrow evening.:)

Some of the students I teach have Ausperger's. I think many people would be surprised to know how common this condition is....especially in gifted children (the ones I teach).
I'm sure Conner is in good hands.

Being a mom is a very busy job. That is definitely a priority. I'll keep checking in to see how your planning is going.

I hope everything turns out ok for Connor. Since I'm in education (teach kindergarten and know lots of early childhood specialists), if I can be of any assistance do not hesitate to ask. I have lots of articles, resources, etc.

Have a wonderful evening!

I plan on it :) We're doing a day in D.C. The Cherry Blossom Festival will be going on this weekend so that's cool. Then a day in the Inner Harbor. I just hope the weather cooperates!
