A "Princess" Sequel?

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that a sequel to The Princess Diaries may be in the works. Specifically, they said that the film's screenwriter was already working on the project, and that Garry Marshall would direct again. They also said that Anne Hathaway has been optioned to play Mia again.

Since the original book by Meg Cabot has a sequel out already, it would seem appropriate to make a sequel to the movie.

So, whaddya think?

Oh no, I sure hope not. Princess Diaries was sooo bad. There's no way I'd go to see a sequel!

I would love to see a sequel, since I loved the movie!! It was really cool! Since I haven't read the book sequel, I'm wondering where they would take it.......
